  1. My daughter and her mate have been reading the lemony snicket books and so wanted to cook pasta putanesca, which I'd never heard of. They've absolutely smashed it, honestly.
  2. I stood and watched us almost but not quite win the league twice at anfield on the last day of the season under Klopp like 40-50,000 others and as draining and emotional as it felt, it was still two of the best seasons of footie I'll ever watch and two of the times I've felt most proud to be a red. The season we almost won it under Rogers was the first time I'd actually thought we could genuinely win the league in my adult life, but we fell short, but that season I was bouncing through the week looking forward to the next match. Watching us win is great, but thanks to covid I've never seen us win the league, but I can say I have thoroughly enjoyed watching us come as close as we have and I'm gonna give this one every chance.
  3. Shouldn't forget he'll be asked to play differently for a new manager. It might suit him better or it might not suit him at all. That has to be figured into all of this too.
  4. My actual alibi was harder to live down than that would've been.
  5. I went to one organised for my old secondary school 8 years ago and it was shit. Was good to see half a dozen or so people I'd not seen in years, but mainly chatted to people I still kept more touch with until the point where the music became unbearably shit and loud at which point it was better to hang around outside. Listened to a few lads talk about getting bullied while some of the lads that bullied them insisted they didn't, then I drunkenly snogged a bird I vaguely remember but hadn't remembered the reputation of and sulked off back to hers round the corner at the night drifted to a close before having to do a walk of shame back to my parents house early next morning and take my daughter to a friends daughters 3rd birthday party. Three of the girls ended up in a&e, can't remember why but one was definitely a bad drunken fall.
  6. Oh believe me, I'm envious, and quite fairly I'm also a cunt, but those eggs are not perfect. Still would be pleased to eat it.
  7. And that's not enormously controversial considering we finished 5th last year while these two went head to head most of the season for the title, and one of them won everything. That we were genuinely title contenders in November pleased and surprised everyone, that we still were, with a trophy in our pocket, in March considering our injuries was even bigger. That we are still now... we'll fuck who thinks anything... we're in this whether they like it or not.
  8. Yep, but all the more reason why I'd expect the default to be... "advantage, no didn't happen, free kick". The one v Brighton was tougher as the game acrually played on longer with the way linos are told not to flag, so I understand the ref not having much option, but I still think its wrong. Last night though I think the ref knew how close it was to half time and took the easy way out.
  9. My issue isn't the awarding of the advantage initially, straight away it looks like a good decision, but when it so very quickly becomes clear it isn't one, we should have the obviously more dangerous free kick 20 yards from goal with seconds to play. Refs want to play tye advantage where they can, and we all generally want them to, but it seems to me they are far more willing to give it time and then pull it back when it's in the middle of the pitch, where the benefit of a free kick is less clearly helpful, than when it's up the top end. Up there, that opportunity needs to be BETTER than a free kick 20 yards out for it to be advantageous, and within a second of playing on it very clearly isn't a better chance
  10. Seconds before half time we got another "advantage" last night... Diaz fouled on the very edge of the box with 20 seconds to play... play advantage cause your reserve left back who's never scored and rarely assists has the ball at his feet with 11 defenders between him and the goal. Fuck off.
  11. So far this year, 2 out of 3 managing directors, a comms director and as of Easter Monday our CEO have all been replaced. Fun times. Clear sailing.
  12. That's actually exactly how it's written in the menu. "1/2 egg and compensation yolk square" I just assumed it was either a vegetarian thing or a hull thing.
  13. Some beans would finish that off nicely. Like how you buttered your toast with your blindfold still on after pin the tail on the donkey.
  14. Made me think about when I went to the louvre about 10 years ago and saw a painting of Jesus carrying the cross up the hill to be crucified, only to see there was a woman there selling merch.
  15. I thought he was the one with the Facebook profile pic of him at old Trafford like a fan on a tour. Probably got that wrong.
  16. I was in the ground screaming for it myself. As I was screaming for everything else the bent Manc twat didn't give us!
  17. I won't keep at it cause your opinion is fair, but i disagree with it. I agree he had a potential advantage. However that advantage didn't materialise and it failed to materialised instantly. Refs do it all the time, play an initial advantage and then say "nah, didn't materialise, I'll call it back". They let it play out a few seconds to see. It's different to getting a shot off, cause its clear if you could get a shot off that's your advantage played. Three stills... 1. The foul, 70:24 2. The indication to play on, 70:26, with Salah 25 yards out and a host of defenders around him; and 3. The end of our advantage, 70:27. We should've been given a free kick.
  18. To be fair, they've fixed all the big problems with football so only right they get these little things tidies up now. Good lads. Credit to them.
  19. He made the right decision initially, but there wasn't an advantage if within a second of the foul the opposition get the ball for an offside. How is that an advantage? It also wasn't te refs fault Brighton fucked about and didn't use the ball when he played advantage to them in the first half. Still brought it back for a foul 5 or 6 seconds later. I just don't think you should be able to have it both ways. If you're waiting to see if an.advamtage results, wait. If Diaz is onside but hits his shot wide, fair enough. Even if Mo holds onto the ball a few seconds then plays it to an offside Diaz, I guess that's fair enough too. But he took one touch, then passed it in the space of less than a second. If what's required is instant perfection then is it really an advantage?
  20. I'm pretty sure he did book him while the var check went on.
