  1. And Diomede apparently has just gone to West Brom! Is there something in the water in the midlands that makes them think shit players are actually good?
  2. I'd fuck them all off. Maybe give Le Tallec another year with us to see what he's really made of, but deffo wouldn't keep any of the others, for the simple reason that they aren't any better than what we already have. Vignal's playing well in Scotland? Big deal, I could name you a million shit premiership players who've gone to Scotland and looked like world beaters.
  3. Well if at least if you pull a fit bird in Cork you're aren't faced with getting her back to the hotel and finding out she's got a dick.
  4. Not sure if its this summer or next summer, but there were rumours about us playing some tournament in Cork, as part of their capital of culture year. And with the Tsunami in Asia I wonder if we'll play over there to help raise some money?
  5. Can't even be arsed reading the rest of your post after reading that bit.
  6. I was disappointed with Hyypia. He was supposed to be captain but I didn't see him offering any encouragement to the young lads. Suppose that's not a surprise though is it? He isn't a natural leader or a talker and the same has been said when he's captained us in the past. I was pissed off to see Welsh taken off. I don't think he was playing well but he was getting stuck in and had earned the right to a full 90 minutes for his effort. Biscan hadn't. Biscan has always struck me as a player who just doesn't care, never seems to have the enthusiasm or desire. And how typical of him to walk of the pitch as soon as the final whistle was blown without a care in the world. The lads a shithouse. Nunez is similar. More interested in being a Lawyer and just isn't interested enough. His elbow was pathetic but at least he won't be availble for a few weeks. No doubt he'll be tucked up in bed at home wanking over pictures in "Law monthly". Or whatever it is Lawyers do in their free time. Tell you something, I bet there aren't too many barristers who play premiership football for a fucking hobby! Can't understand why Mellor didn't get more of a look in. 20 minutes isn't enough. Thought he should have come on when Baros came on and judging by the amount of times Milan was looking over to the bench to see if Mellor was coming on he felt the same. Rafa seems to either take Mellor off too early or bring him on too late. And another thing. Burnley's ground was shit and it was bloody freezing. And their P.A announcer was a big bellend.
  7. I think we're in a very difficult position. If Gerrard does leave and things get even more difficult, who's next? Baros? What if these players can't be replaced and we slip further behind? I agree that its crucial we sign some Premiership players. Unless players brought in from Spain are of real quality (i.e Alonso, Morientes) then it isn't worth doing business. Come the end of the season Rafa will have been able to assess the players available in England and hopefully we'll see some transfer activity a little closer to home. Its worth paying more for players of proven quality and players who will definately fit in. You can sign talented players like Garcia and Cisse, but how long will it take for them to get used to premiership football? I'd rather see us pay extra for players who can come in and play consisently well straight away. I'm expecting a big clear out in the summer. There's still a lot of players that need shifting to give us a real fresh start. In a championship manager style, I'd allow the following to leave; Biscan, Diao, Traore, Pongolle, Dudek and/or Kirkland, Mellor, Partridge, and a couple of the other young lads who aren't going to make it. Ideally I'd bin off Josemi and Nunez as well but can't see Rafa letting them go. Add to these the likes of Luzi and the players who were loaned out and it give us the chance to start over. edit: forgot about Smicer. He can go to. And Henchoz if he hasn't found himself a club by the end of January. But then, is it better to make big changes in the summer or for things to be more gradual?
  8. Where's Igor? More importantly, who gives a shit? He certainlt doesn't.
  9. Shouldn't we just forget about any title talk for the next 4 or 5 years and allow Rafa to build a team? This year was a write-off anyway, but theres no quick fix. Rafa has a huge job on his hands and he knows it. We're miles behind the top three (I hate that saying, but it shows how far we've slipped). All I wanted to see this year was better football, a better attitude from the players and the introduction of some of the young players. The football has improved generally and its not so much of a chore to go to games anymore - certainly not for home games anyway. The attitude of the players is improving but there's still far too many players who are here for the ride. And I can't complain about the number of kids who've had a chance this year. Of the squad, who's good enough? Not many. But if you compared our best possible starting 11 with the other sides at the top I don't think the difference is that big. The difference lies in the squad. Football isn't a game of 11 players anymore, you need 17 or 18. How do you define progress? Do you expect Rafa to win us the league in 2 years? 3 Years? What are your expectations of him? He's not a miracle worker. We came close to being genuine title challengers, but we didn't carry on the improvements and from 2002 onwards we slipped back into being a top 5 club. I can't belive so many people are worrying about United and Arsenal's results. We're a Villa or a Boro now and it ain't going to change quickly. Are our expectations too high and unrealistic?
  10. That 40 reasons to laugh at Man U or whatever was awful. I thought I'd stumbled on to Bolton's official site. But its typical of the type of supporters we have at the club. Couldn't believe the 'tragedy' headline either. Even more strange when only the other day they put up an article about the keeping the man utd game in perspective given the Tsunami tragedy!!! For fucks sake.
  11. Haven't they learnt from last time? 6:00pm is far too late to make a decision. Will Burnley pay my travel costs if I have another wasted journey? Will they balls. It'd make more sense if they called it off now and it would save them money. If they get the ground opened, get all the stewards, police, catering staff in etc they'll still have to pay them. And there'll be plenty of other match day costs. Complete joke. Amateur club. They've had 10 days to prepare for this. It isn't their fault the weather's been bad but they must have been able to take better preventative steps surely?
  12. But remember Everton are at home in the next round as well, so we can't both be at home on the same day and I think the police would rather not have to police two games in 48 hours. We can't play on the sunday as we have a game two days later on the tuesday. Theres a full programme that day as well so Everton will be in the same position. I saw something on a Charlton website which said they could have moved our game from the tuesday to wednesday meaning our game would be played on the sunday and everton on the saturday, but merseyside police had the final word. Burnley, sky, everton and the rozzers. Cunts the lot of them.
  13. Of course he bloody is. His bird and his baby are just a smoke-screen. Steve Gerrard, Gerrard He'll pass the ball 40 yards He wants to bum Frank Lampard Steve Gerrard, Gerrard
  14. Back handed compliment if ever I saw one. Its like your bird telling you she thinks you're better looking than Luke Chadwick!
  15. According to skysports news, they can't put the covers down because they need to let the pitch dry out. But there is heavy rain and maybe even snow forecast for tonight! Might be a pitch inspection tomorrow, though hopefully if there is it'll be at lunchtime and there'll make an early decision. Could just be them being over cautious, but I'll fuming if its called off again. Bloody amateurs.
  16. Because he scored the winning goal against Olympiakos, all we seem to hear is how he got us through to the last 16. And thats bollocks and an insult to the rest of the team. He did nothing up until he scored that goal (Apart from nearly breaking someones leg). One man team my arse. Since the day of the Olympiakos game, when his comments about wanting to win stuff were published, the level of his performances seems to have dropped quite a bit. He scored against Portsmouth but was by no means outstanding yet the media reported how he rescued us. Same old story with the Watford game. If he scores but plays badly we still get the 'one man team' crap.
  17. I was taking the piss. It doesn't bother me. I occasionally get my hair cut by a poof (Not a stealth poof, he's the Dale Winton type). Thing is with the media, they're taking the piss out of gay people. Doesn't matter whether its Hollyoaks, Emmerdale or Coronation street or any other programme, the gay character is always ridiculously camp and way over the top.
  18. Nah its not just in the genes. Kids get it into their head that its ok to be gay. The media are constantly endorsing gayness and advertising it. What really pisses me off with it all is that TV programmes always portray gays as being the happy, camp type and its always way over the top. They never show the butch gays and the type I like to call 'stealth gays'. You have to watch out for them, at least with the camp type dressed in pink you know their around, but not the stealth type. I'm telling yer, if little boys see gays on the tele and its always percieved to be a normal acceptable thing and they see blokes kissing blokes, they aren't going to spend their lunchtimes in the playground playing football or chasing girls, they'll be chasing after other boys. And little girls will start doing the same. The youth of tomorrow will all be gay because of the damage of TV and the human race will eventually die out as there will be no-one to reproduce. Straight people will be confined to a life of self love as they'll be too ashamed to 'come out' and they'll be ridiculed. Straight people will be portrayed as being boring and the media will ensure that straightness is seen as a bad thing. I'm telling yer, it'll happen. Or maybe gays could just go to their nearest hospital and have their genes sorted out, they must just have the wrong genes, like Evertonians all have a gene which makes them ugly. Perhaps if the gay genes were replaced with straight genes, and they were forced to watch hardcore (straight) porn, nonstop for 3 months, in the same way that those apes were forced to watch violene in 28 days later, they'd be fully treated. It can't just be down to the media.
  19. Looks like that site stole the article from the offal who stole it from here. Dave should make up some completely bullshit story about Salif Diao being up for world player of the year or something and see if they'll steal it.
  20. Love the line about his wife teaching him! Just seen this on .tv and its also nice to see them actually quote where the interview came from...
  21. :wallbutt: Thats the gayest thing I've ever heard. Shouldn't they start cracking down on supporters who give us the 'sign on' jibes then? Shouldn't we also be arrested for chanting 'you fat bastard' at Rooney? The worlds going mad.
  22. Sky will no doubt say otherwise, but the premiership has been absolutely shit this year. The standard was poor last season, but its been even worse this time around. The fact that Everton are in the top four proves it! I can't believe two of the top four sides have got there through workman like performances. Chelsea don't play nice football, and Everton certainly don't. Why the fuck did everyone criticise us when we were getting good results using a more defensive approach? Between 2000 and 2002 all we heard was how we played negative football. Whats the difference between us back then and Chelsea now? Oh thats right, they have a manager who won the European cup - won by using the same tactics!
  23. Who's the fat bloke with the scruffy hair who sells the mag at the Kop end? You know, where Dave U used to stand.
