1. Cheers, gents. Looks like it'll be the Netbook with external DVD/USB. Laptop defo be too heavy for her.
2. Aye, live there too and not had problems before Friday in over 5 years here. Strange.
3. And you felt the need to comment? Don't comment on it and it will disappear.
4. So, been in Kenny all weekend and my phone has been shite. Goes to me ma's today in the Swan and phone seemed to have sorted itself. Back in Kenny this tea time and it's playing up again. Can areas so close have different strengths of mobile signal etc? In fairness to O2, been with them 10+ years and this is the first time I've had any problems like this.
5. Everything looks ok, according to the O2 site. Still having probs sending texts in particular, but am receiving texts very late, if at all (just got a text off someone that was sent at half 10 on Saturday night). Will give them a ring if it persists.
6. Can anyone recommend a Netbook with a DVD drive/player? Wanting one for my daughter for Chrimbo. I want one for the size/weight as a laptop is likely to be too heavy for her. Or is it not worth it and I should just go for the laptop? Help appreciated as ever.
7. Which Clash song to pick...
8. Here...maybe? MTV EMA 2011 :: 06.11.2011 :: Belfast
9. Both me and the missus are having problems sending and receiving texts, and have been for the last 24 hours or so. Anyone else on O2 having the same probs?
10. The Magnificent Seven. Always thought this was one of the films you had to see. Watched it today and was left underwhelmed. Steve McQueen was brilliant, as ever, and Yul Brynner and James Coburn were very good too. But overall it was a waste of 2 hours of my life. An unmagnificent 5 out of 10.
11. Apologies for starting a new thread about one of the best comedy films of all time, as I'm sure there will have been something posted about it before. Unfortunately, the search function on here being what it is - rubbish - I can't find anything. Anyway, just seen that it's on BBC iPlayer. Enjoy: BBC iPlayer - Monty Python's Life of Brian (I assume it's UK residents only?)
12. Yeah. I find that I watch little British telly. The odd comedy. I am, however, looking forward to watching the new Misfits tonight.
13. Supernova - Chewbacca:
14. We see loads of top quality American programmes recommended on here, but are there any British shows out there that are worth a watch? I know there'll be nothing to match the likes of 'The Wire' - although I did enjoy Luther - but anything worthy of a download/viewing? Thinking drama/action.
15. Could've picked any number of U2 songs from the 80s, but will go with this one for now:
16. Anyone found a decent Torrent of The Inbetweeners Movie anywhere? Only seems to be dodgy versions around.
17. Flogging Molly - If I Ever Leave This World Alive: The Waterboys - Fisherman's Blues: Not Irishy, exactly, but a treat anyways: Shane MacGowan - That Woman's Got Me Drinking:
18. I'm not talking about having your heart ripped out by some tart. I am talking about proper, physical pain. When I was 6/7, I was running in the school yard and, as is the norm, some girl wasn't watching where she was going and ran in to me. Her fod smacked my eye. I cried...she didn't. I ended up with the biggest shiner you've ever seen in your life. I also got punched in the stomach by some girl, also in school, when I was about 9/10. I was much braver this time and didn't cry...I just rolled round on the floor winded.
19. 5 minutes tops, with baby, girly steps. Just walk under the subway and it's about 150/200 yards under/at the side of the start of the motorway.
