  1. Are you as bugged by those who advocated the sacking of Rafa yet welcomed Roy to the club? By your reckoning surely they too were inconsistent? Or are you only concerned with, shock horror, those who supported Rafa? Saying that I can see why you'd forget about the posters on the other side of the coin seeing as though they have gone amazingly quiet recently.
  2. Then isn't is a good job they are very few and far between? In fact, we could actually ignore them if we really wanted to their numbers are so low.
  3. Benitez couldn't win at Inter given the season they had last year. Hodgson couldn't lose at Liverpool given the season we had last year. Fuck me Roy, you must be one of, if not the, biggest losers LFC has ever employed.
  4. I don't know if anyone has said that exactly? However it was always clear that Roy was one of the favourites for the job so if that hadn't crossed your mind when advocating the sacking of Benitez then God knows what was going on in your head. Oops forgive me, you've already said O'Neill and Hiddink were in your mind. Methinks some peoples weren't being realistic.
  5. The simple point is, and I am sure many have already said similar, is that if you wanted Rafa gone you should be realistic about his replacements and suffer/ enjoy the consequences. Unfortunately we're all suffering.
  6. The only answer to your question would be to say look at the bigger picture. Hiddink was never an option, think about it. As for O'Neill, apparently he left Villa because of lack of money and broken promises, do you really think he would have come to LFC under G&H?
  7. Exactly. I'd like to think that if it wasn't for all his utter bullshit I'd still be reasonably fair minded and patient with Roy* and would want to give him time - but he has made it impossible. His behaviour, his persona is so unbecoming, he couldn't be less Liverpool-like. * I can't promise this though as I only ever saw him as an interim appointment until we got new owners anyway
  8. How did the fans "make it known" from day one that they didn't want Roy?
  9. Clearly I agree, as I said I have no problem with either of them shaking hands with Ferguson, do you? If you want to have a go at someone for having a go at Roy, or for defending Rafa and not Roy, then it's quite obvious you've picked the wrong person to have a go at. You're reading too much into my post and I have no idea why. Did he hurt you that much?
  10. I said as much the other day when someone referred to our board/ owners as being superior to the manager. The manager must be the number one person at the club.
  11. IF that was Dougie's reason for negging me then he's a bit of a blinkered tit considering in the same post I said: "I've got no problem with the picture of Roy embracing Ferguson so this is in defence of no-one". I'm not actually arsed about the negging shit, if I was I'd be a member, but I'm just a bit perplexed about this one (can only assume it's to do with some weird Benitez obsession??).
  12. Personally I don't think "corruption" in the game is anything to do with money or bribery as such, just that pressures from certain quarters forces mistakes to be made. It still stinks though.
  13. It seems I got negged by Dougie D'oins for this with a "more lame excuses" comment. Lame excuses for what?
  14. Booing, songs, they're in the same ball park as long as it doesn't cross a line. To me, there is much more justification for publically calling for this particular manager's head than there was for booing off a team who'd just gone top of the league - although I would do neither. Nothing happened against Wolves that our (collective) support wasn't previously capable of, it only seemed worse because Roy decided to make a fuss and and his 'friends' in the media thought it a good story.
  15. Irrespective of their motivations, or the cause of, there are a lot of dishonest decisions made by referees. This in itself is corrupt. And it's rife from the FA down. The game is rotten with corruption.
  16. Well yes it kinda does really' date=' a bit. I've got no problem with the picture of Roy embracing Ferguson so this is in defence of [i']no-one[/i], but the pictures of Benitez were clearly taken before he'd had enough time to guage what an utter cunt Ferguson is.
  17. Were you as outraged when the supporters booed the team off after going top of the league at home to West Ham in 2008?
  18. If the owners aren't appointing Dalglish because they're scared of his status with the support then that doesn't fill me with confidence about them at all. Bring in Dalglish and manage the appointment, make it clear from the outset that if they do consider him a short term appointment it will be because they feel it's in the best interests of the club. It seems Kenny himself implied in the summer that he would step aside for the good of the club, if he makes that publically clear and then if/ when he does step aside it is repeated and he goes with a smile on his face, and not a heavy heart, the support would understand and I believe most would accept. If NESV can't manage this situation then it doesn't paint them in a good light.
  19. Utter, utter shit. The day the manager of LFC becomes the most important man here, the most superior, is the day we become a proper football club again.
  20. Does the atricle accuse Houllier of mediocrity at all? I really can't see it?? The headline does, but would that not be the sub-editors words? That's what some always suggest when it's a Bascombe article anyway.
