    Moffat won't forget he has to accommodate the kids as he appreciates it is the only drama aimed at three generations (watch with kids or your parents) but think you will see less froth than with Davies

    Don't agree with you re scripts. Over 60 episodes that Davies helmed not everyone will suit everyone but on the whole I think the majority were above average with a couple of excellent ones each year Female viewers assist to make the programme more main stream (which it needs to be) so I have no issues with "Dishy" Doctors. I doubt that's an adjective you could apply to Matt Smith. There has to be balance of course - so a big welcome to Karen Gillan!! And who says he is supposed to be a middle aged man. Doc 5 was 29 when he was cast. Younger than DT.

    Sorry to see him go. Been an ace doctor but I'm sorry the Xmas specials* were a load of self indulgent, fan obssessed, 'greatest hits', load of bollocks I have ever had the misfortune to watch (And I was still a fan during the 80's!!!) I accept that Tennant had earned his lap of honour which he inevitably got at christmas but think he would have been better served by what Nu Who has done largely very effectively for the past four years which is tell a decent story. All my 'not we' friends wanted me to explain it for them. I think that speaks volumes!!!! *In fact the only decent special of the gap year was Waters of Mars

The Wife's still stuck in Liverpool - and she left the same time as me - because of the chaos backing up from the tunnels and the sliding car park that is Islington

    I think our centre halves need to remember that they know how to defend. They certainly knew it last year, and the year before that (repeat) so less urgent for me. But I accept the point that whilst we leak goals our aspirations of a top four finish are seriously challenged I nearly went for a centre forward as I agree without Nando we look ordinary up front. I remember Ged saying years ago you needed four top strikers. I'm not sure you need four but you certainly need more than one. I think up front we are weaker than ever in recent memory. But I think that is not as urgent as.... Centre mid. We used to sing we had the best midfield in the world. We don't now and I also think that is putting more pressure on the defence. I have previously commented that I think football is a simple game complicated by idiots. I like my goal keepers to keep goal, (keep up the good work Pepe), my defenders to defend (and we're not), my midfielders to do midfieldy things (attack/defend as the need requires and we're poor at either end of the park), and my strikers to score goals (and other than Nando we don't have the personnel to do that either)
