I think if we went for a domestic manager we might be giving the academy lads a decent chance. If, say we had hired on Curbishley five years ago, then players like Mellor, Walsh, Semmy, Warnock would have been given a run in a "five year plan". Why have an Academy if you're just going to loan them out? Would they have turned out better than Zida..err.. white boots Bruno, Diao, and the rest of GH internationals? I think you should build a team within. Costs less, you get more intangables like heart and drive and desire.
