I would not tell an offensive joke to someone who i thought was easily offfended or someone who had recently been involved in something the joke was about. It's a thorny issue but i honestly am more offended by malice and greed then any offensive joke. My main argument was that i found a joke based on hate or predjudice actually offensive.

To be honest i can't imagine there being one, but it's a fair question. I honestly wouldn't find it funny, and the only time i've ever heard comments about hillsborough is when they are deliberatly being aimed to incite its mocking the dead, which personally i think a hillsborough joke would. Whereas i think the joke above is mocking Beckham and is a very bad pun. And no its not funny really, but that's nothing to do with it being offensive. But thats not the question, if hypothetically there was a hillsborough 'joke' that somehow didn't mock the dead but pointed elsewhere, then no, i still wouldn't find it funny, but i would bear in mind that ive made tasteless jokes about many other subjects, so i wouldn't feel comfortable having a go. If you want another example then look at cancer jokes, ive heard jokes about cancer that i found funny, i told my old man one when he was going through chemotherapy, and he pissed himself. So go figure. I actually found the Badly Drawn boy comment amusing though.

I've heard loads of sick jokes about celebs passing away and found them quite funny because they are offensive, in the whole sweet jesus that's wrong kind of way.
