I thought our reposnse to their chants were superb. Just singing five times they had no response so had to start chants up to try and wind us up. well having spoke to dave last night at the ground about being pissed off taht he was being allowed to leave I'm made up that he got on and thus cup tied himself. If this is Rafa saying he wants him to stay and scaring off potential suitors then that's great. I have faith in flo and would love to see him have a run in the side. Amazing how Flo did more running in seven minutes last night than Cisse did in the previous 83.

I think the fact that Rafa is taking in centre backs shows little faith in what is coming through and purely as a personal opinion I agree with him. I may get shot down on this one but I'm still to be convinced on Zak making it all the way and i dont see o'donnell making it either. Peltier isn't a centre back so bringing in three backs is wise. It's interesting that he talks of them going for the reserves because at the end of the day this is the lowest level he's able to get invoved in directly. He'll have seen what's coming through the academy and with many of them there they older ones were there last season so he knows what they can do already. Perosonally I'd like Owens to walk asap and wasn't far off telling him that when i saw him in Istanbul either. I think there may be odd breaks appear between the cluba nd the academy soon. At the end of the day these kids have to get experience and this is what we have used the cup for so far this season so if they get the final why not stick with them. Yes its a trophy and I'd love to win but if we lost that one but the kids gained so much experience that a couple of them went on to be better players for us then thats surely great news for the future. And anyway the way they're playing they'll win the damned thing whoever they play :)
