  1. *James Alexander Gordon voice* Aston Villa 6 – Brighton & Hove Albion 1.
  2. I think it's as much the volume of chances he's missed than the chances themselves. We talked about Gakpo after the LASK game and whether he'd get the same inquisution. I thought about that because it's a good question. But I think it's a volume issue. When you're squandering 3-4 of these chances per game rather than one then it's going to bring more scrutiny. I'm careful about what I say now, rather than just being a counterpoint to you, because I actually really like him and would rather him be on the field than not. And the fact he's getting on the end of so much can only be a positive.
  3. Kvarme looked alright until that Cadermatteri goal at Goodison. He never recovered from that.
  4. @RedKnight's diatribe about the anny road end complete with Return of The Jedi analysis was a highlight.
  5. The winners are The Stunner, Lesnar's F5 and Jake's DDT (the RKO is pretty much the same move, Jake once called Orton thanked him for bring back the DDT) The spear is a terrible finisher. I've never seen one that looks like it hurt.
  6. sensational from TLW’s own John Brennan.
  7. I'd be doing a victory lap here about how right I always was about Gerrard, if I wasn't so wrong about the other tit.
  8. That's laughably pathetic from Gerrard. Making an absolute tit of himself, while making an absolute fortune.
  9. Alright aaarrrrr Gareh, yer comin' down t' The Mysterious Bruise tonaaaaaht?
  10. I thought the same. Probably not like, but I'm going to choose to believe that. Fair play, Jo-El.
  11. So don’t leave him out! John Barnes is a “greater” Liverpool player than Suarez.
  12. Dennis Takes a Mental Health Day is the only one that'll go in the pantheon of great episodes. The rest had some good stuff, but go into the blur of everything from around season 12 onwards.
  13. 976 at his game at the weekend. It’s so pathetic it’s almost sad. If Shakespeare could be arsed writing tragedies about soft shites from Sunderland…
  14. As far as I was concerned, he was done the moment he lost 7-0 at Anfield. There's no coming back from that. They arrived at Anfield on the back of a great run and we – at a pretty fucking low ebb – absolutely destroyed the hype around them. A United manager worth a damn would never have allowed that utter capitulation to happen. He somehow escaped blame for it thanks to 'Bruno' He was cooked in that moment.
  15. That Spurs game was a fucker. We didn't really deserve to win it, but the collective "oh fuck" in the Kop when they broke clear for that opener will live long in the memory.
