That was the Week that Was (May 27 - Jun 2 2024)

Monday May 27:

Ten Hag takes shots at Arne Slot, some nonsense about Feyenoord not being that good under him.

“People have been going overly lyrical about Feyenoord. Feyenoord were steady this year, but not top. PSV Eindhoven were two classes better in all areas. In terms of dominating the ball, in terms of putting pressure, in terms of intensity, you name it. [Peter] Bosz and his staff did that top notch, but the rest of the club is also well put together. PSV Eindhoven were better than the rest by such a long distance, even so much better than Feyenoord.”

So because one team has an incredible year (amassing more points than Leverkusen) that means Feyenoord weren’t that good? They got more points this year than when they won the league last year. Replace PSV with City and Feyenoord with Arsenal and think about how ridiculous that statement is. But why say it at all? Won a trophy have you, baldy?

Fucking weirdo. There’s just something really off about him, he isn’t a normal fella, he’s fucking weird. He’s in bullish mood though after winning the FA Cup and said “If Manchester United don’t want me I’ll just do what I’ve always done and go and win trophies somewhere else”. I really hope they keep him, he’s proper shit but he might be the luckiest manager in the league. That luck will run out though and imagine how funny it will be when it does? They’re finishing 8th with all the luck in the world. Take that luck away and they might get relegated.

Ten Hag also says that Ajax sacking Overmars for sending pics of his cock to loads of female staff was “scandalous”. Not surprised by that at all, he’s been at United long enough now to know that’s just standard behaviour. There’s a long history of that shit there. I’m old enough to remember Clayton Blackmore’s exploits, not to mention Bryan Robson who let’s not forget was actually dubbed “Captain Cock Out”.

In other news, Kyle Walker says he’d take winning the Euros with England over the treble with City. Given that none of our lads have ever said anything like that (some have said the opposite) I think this settles once and for all that “this means more”. I don’t blame Walker at all though. He probably just wants to win something without an asterisk and have a proper parade with actual people there cheering.

Staying with the cheats, it’s reported that Guardiola will be off next summer. Convenient that. Announce it now so if they get hammered with deductions and relegation he can say his plan was to leave anyway. If they don’t, he can say he’s had a change of heart. Sneaky, duplicitous little bald fuck.

Bullet dodged, right?

Got to disagree, although it could be tongue in cheek?

The difference between one trophy and a lot more.

Didn't watch the game but checked the half time, said to my missus Real getting battered, 0-0, Real to score soon. And as if by magic! Hate them but got to respect them.

Just hate them, it’s more fun.

Dave, you forgot about their previous owner, Martin Edwards, being a peeping Tom.
