This is an enormous game for Carvalho and an even bigger one for Darwin. Very surprised Firmino didn't keep his place. Thought he was comfortably better than Salah in our two wins so far.

I don't think non-cheat teams in this league can really cement themselves at the top table any more. Chelsea could well fall away in a few years without Abramovich. I think we did something really wrong in pre-season with our conditioning. So many muscle injuries, so much sluggishness. A new signing or two (who haven't been subjected to that) who could come in and give some others time to recover would be a really nice thing to have.
