  1. He said in an interview I seen earlier that when he was a youth player he used to go and play CB in training to improve on his ball playing qualities and with a straight face said he was the best CB, be funny as fuck seeing him fuck something up trying to overplay it.
  2. I think you can sign for a club in England one month before the end of your contract which is only a few weeks away for Can so he could have signed for literally anyone by now. I agree that I can’t see him staying now, it’s just all a bit strange for me. If Juve buy Savic and City end up buying someone else soon then I can see him not starting pre season without a club. Juve won’t sign him and Savic whilst already having Matuidi Khedira etc same goes for City, their preferred midfield is Fernandinho-Silva-De Bruyne with Gundogan etc on the bench, Can would be Fernandinho’s understudy for a season or two if he went there or as some have said Yaya’s replacement. He’s a very shrewd signing on a free for anyone, they could keep him for a season and sell him on for £30m+ minimum or he fulfils his potential and becomes a world class DM, by all accounts it’s about the money so his contract wouldn’t be astronomical even for a free transfer so it’s kind of a win/win for anyone signing him. I hope to fuck he doesn’t go to Utd!
  3. Just said that on my WhatsApp group, he sounded like exactly like Henderson but a much much thicker version.
  4. Apparently fit to start Egypt’s next game
  5. Watch the Gazetta documentary thing on BT it was really good and brought back some nostalgic memories, it said the whole idea was all to do with Gazza going over there and that the program was basically made for him.
  6. When can he officially negotiate or sign for a PL team? I would have thought he could have legally signed a pre contract by now if he wanted to. It’s a weird weird scenario, whatever you think of him he’s played for Bayern Munich, played in the CL with Leverkusen, he’s had 4 years 2 of which he’s been a regular in the starting XI at one of the biggest clubs in the world, a German international and is only what? 24? And at the moment is basically without a club and it’s all gone silent with him. Juve keep saying they’re hopefully signing him next week and he could have signed for a PL team by now if he was, I could be wrong but he can sign for anyone in the world at the moment yet he hasn’t. Something fishy’s going on, that’s why I suspect it could be Utd but more likely City and wants to announce it so he can go straight there instead of signing now and having to wait infuriating our fans. I’ve said before but maybe he signed a pre contract with Juve months ago and is trying to get out of it somehow with his lawyers working overtime because at the time maybe City weren’t interested but now are or he’s seen how far we actually progressed this season and wants to stay.
  7. Why do they need to be experienced ex players? The way you see and analyse a football match doesn’t matter if your an ex player or not, someone like Arsene Wenger who never had a proper career playing football would be able to analyse a game better than someone like Gerrard who was an elite and experienced footballer. I’ve seen a few journalists (good ones I might add) that have been doing punditry and I find myself agreeing with them a lot more and they don’t tend to contradict themselves to suit whatever agenda they have that week. BT’s European Football Show used to have all journalists on there and James Richardson who by all accounts had no knowledge of football prior to Football Italia and that show was brilliant. Kate Abdo is unreal.

  9. Lawrenson is the worst pundit by a country miles, thinks he hilarious but is as funny as Danny fucking Murphy. BBC need an overhaul of their pundits and co-commentators, I can’t even watch MOTD properly anymore because they’ve either got Shearer or Murphy on there every week. They’d do a lot worse than having some journalists on instead of meaningless ex players like Kevin Kilabane, people like Honigstein and Julian Laurent speak so much more sense when describing how and why things have happened during a match and they articulate it better, also there’s an argument that they watch way more football than anyone else.
  10. Huh? If you seen him on the street compared to normal people not professional athletes I guarantee you wouldn’t think he’s fat, it’s just compared to other professional footballers, who are extremely skinny compared to normal people and combined with weight lifting program he looks bigger than the rest. He’ll ditch the weight lifting and lose a few pounds when he gets here and look completely different to what he does now.
  11. Why wasn’t that sent for review to VAR, it was a debatable penalty at best. I didn’t think it was personally.
  12. He’s not fat per say I just think he’s so small he was told to beef up and he’s now a mixture of muscle and a think layer of fat where as every other footballer is skinny as fuck.
  13. Can’s going to Utd or City, been saying it for months but looks more and more likely as the days pass. He’s a cock if he does move there and I fully expect Keita to put a stud through him if he does. Can’t see an Aurelio situation occurring and us resigning him so I hope he does go to Juve.
  14. I think it was more to do with the probability of a new knee injury more than his past injury records, I’ve read that the MRI showed his surgery wasn’t a very good job which means he’s more likely to have a recurrence of his injury, which by all accounts was a real bad one, I’d guess that we tried to lower the price which I believe is the correct thing to do in these circumstances. Either Lyon know his knees fucked and want rid before it goes again and there goes their big fee for him, in which case they should accept a lower fee, that’s IF they know it’s fucked but if they’re confident it’s completely fine then they shouldn’t be opposed to a fee based on appearances per year, if we agreed a £53m fee then something like £35m up front then £5m every year for 5 years in which he’s available for a certain percentage of games eg 85%. For what it’s worth I think the deals over and we’re onto alternatives.
  15. Fekir has pace and because he’s technically so good doesn’t mean he has Ozil like strength, he’s strong as fuck, I guarantee hardly any midfielders are able to bully him. He has a temper that’ll get him a few yellows next season, him and Keita are about to show that you can be small, skilful, aggressive and strong not just one or the other. They’re both exactly the type of Jurgen Klopp players you’d expect him to sign. Next seasons going to be a ride and a half whether we win any trophies or not!
  16. He’s signed haven’t he? I had a notification yesterday saying he’s agreed a move to Juve and is having his medical this week.
  17. 16 hour fast with morning fasted cardio, I try to eat as close to 12pm as possible and eat my last bit of food just before 8pm. It’s surprising how much less you tend to eat and how your not as hungry as you’d think you’d be.
  18. Fekir’s not likely to start for France and wouldn’t have even been in the squad had Payet not got injured so Aulas is taking a gamble leaving it until after the tournament, id understand it more if he was starting every game but there’s a slight chance he may not even get any game time and that would surely reflect in the price as it would if he went and played brilliant.
  19. I keep repeating myself here but for the life of me I can’t see why he’d want to leave right now, he’s at a good club who’ve offered him a decent wage, a club that’s improving rapidly with a manager from the same country as him and a club where he’s spent 4 important years of his life growing, it’s been repeated a number of times it’s got nothing at all to do with money so if it’s game time then the clubs he’s been linked too he’d probably get the same amount of game time here as he would at Juve, Man City or even Man Utd. I’ve read its possible that he wants to play in his favoured position of DM. I’d love him to stay because I think he’ll go on to be one of best midfielders around but in the now we won’t miss him because already replaced him with Fabinho.
  20. I’ll put my neck out and say it’s looking increasingly likely he’s off and won’t sign a new deal
  21. Huh? Bielsa favourite for the job? Fucks that all about?
  22. Newest bit of info, apparently his best mate has put a picture up of Fekir in a Liverpool kit on his Instagram with a caption saying after the World Cup he’ll be a Liverpool player, now how have these clever people decided he’s his best mate I hear you ask, well Twitter detectives have studied Fekir’s followers and who he’s following and he only follows 90 people and this guys one of them, Fekir has liked nearly every picture this guys put on so he does clearly know him. Also there’s an apparent DM where someone has asked him if Fekir is joining Liverpool and his reply was god willing. Take him off your wish list lads he’s ours, his mate said!
  23. I think more defenders and clubs will be more wise to him this year and either double up on him or make more plans to stop him getting into goal scoring positions. Also he went through an unbelievable patch where everything he hit went in after missing quite a few chances earlier on in the season, will he have the same sort of luck? I guess time will tell and I hope he does carry it on because he was a joy to watch last season. It doesn’t really matter so much about the league or the finances for some mental reason it seems like players just want to sign for Real Madrid or Barcelona even if it means being a squad player instead of a regular at their previous club. Its crazy considering Barca have only really been competitive in the CL for a decade, before that they had one or two European Cups but clubs see them as the be all and end all for football clubs at least Madrid have a massive massive history in terms of European Cups etc Yea I think he’ll still score loads mind because he’s so quick and clever he’ll still get chances but as with every good goal scorer he had luck on his side last season, take Ronaldo for instance how many “lucky” goals does he score where he’ll shoot and it’ll go through the keeper or take a slight deflection and still go in. Salah had that on his side last year where the ball would just fall to him.
  24. Getting Dembele in now on a two year loan with an iron clad buy clause is very good business if we get that over the line. It gives him time to develop because he’s still young and when Salah inevitably goes we’ve got his replacement already here at the club. I personally can’t see Salah scoring 30+ again next season, that was just a freak season. He’ll still score loads of goals because he’s brilliant, it’s just hard to imagine him having two seasons where he scores 30+ in a row from outwide so we’ll need others to step up and add a few more goals each to make up for it. Dembele and Fekir have the potential to score a shit load of goals between.
