  1. Not gonna lie, not the outcome I’d hoped for. Didn’t enjoy that too much.
  2. They're realistically five points clear, with nine left to play, when the Clampits pick up the 3pts for their game in hand. They still have to play each other, and also us, Chelsea, Newcastle and a few other potential banana skins. They'll be a point ahead by the time they play City and two behind by the time the final whistle blows. The media will spin the narrative of City as the plucky underdog clawing back to victory whilst the wider footballing world looks on, shaking its collective head in frustration.
  3. A boozer in Basingstoke giving inclusion a solid attempt.
  4. One of The Donald’s first acts as BigPrez45 was to have loads of potholes filled in New York. The fact that they were all on his route from the airport to his gaff is neither here, nor there, and purely coincidental. Whadaguy.
  5. Part of the new trade deals terms are a sort of protectionism of wages paid, meaning corporations can sue us, in private courts, if they feel we are paying wages too high to British citizens, as they may lead to wage inflation or loss of revenue through an inability to compete, in their organisations. Glory be, glory be.
  6. Abu Dhabi international outreach program 0 - 1 Liverpool (Van Dijk) Av that ya shithouses.
  7. Don't know much about snooker, but was curious and looked up an article about it. My word, the comments! This might be one of the most needlessly aggressive things I've seen on the internet, a thing of beauty. https://theboar.org/2023/03/mark-king-suspended-from-snooker/
  8. There's still a bit more to run yet. The Boris nonsense has lots more to come out and he can still cause all manner of trouble. The economy shows no signs of improving in any real noticeable way anytime soon and Sunak has just opened attack lines about capital gains with his tax returns. Crime is up, as is inequality. The fallout from the Kwarteng/Hancock videos could run, as could the messages that Hancock ridiculously handed over. Backbench rebellions on the cards etc. That's without the serious stuff like the locals coming up and the Covid enquiry bubbling under. We really are at the fag end of it now and they're just dying a slow, painful and very visual death, at an awful time for most magnifying everything that little bit more, with a billionaire sixth former in charge who has absolutely no understanding of how the 99% live. If they can ride this out I've lost hope and England can go truly fuck itself.
  9. £250,000 we’ve paid for this circus of arrogance and entitlement. Just fuck off you tedious, slovenly, vainglorious fucking cunt.
  10. A packet of prawns with about a quarter bottle of Sarsons, or northern ceviche as I refer to it as to my wife's cultured chagrin. A couple of snack-sized pork pies with a dash of mustard, Dijon 'caus I'm a fancy cunt and a packet of S&V McCoys.
  11. That, my friend, is a thing of beauty. The only thing bypassing that is a Samio Aladychi hoof ball tactic knocking us out in the World Cup semi-final from us winning the FUCKING LOT.
  12. ^^^^^ This is where this thread just got good.
  13. Congratulations on the divorce, Rog.
  14. You’ve got to admire how much of a well versed cunt Rees-Mogg is. Hes asked a question, then he spells it out, and it’s faults, in detail, before admonishing himself, or any other cunt close to him, of blame before turning it back on someone, or something else, without breaking stride. Quite a level of shithousery that bypasses most as he effectively says here’s the issue and here’s why it’s every other cunts fault so suck it up.
  15. If anyone is interested Victoria Derbyshire is tearing the Tories a new arsehole on Newsnight. Nice to see, finally… EDIT: And Labour, she’s furious about something and taking names.
  16. 'Do you actually want me to help you, or do you just want to tell me I'm wrong about something you have asked for help with and know nothing about before admitting that I'm right?' If only we could just skip this stage of the conversation, I'm sure many relationships would blossom.
  17. Of course, I agree, but if there was thought, application and genuine care going into it then it could be revelatory. Imagine a site worker their whole life going into mentoring/teenage support systems, a nurse being trained properly in admin work, a bored accountant going into the civil service etc etc... The possibilities are there, the will, you'd imagine, hasn't even considered the potential. We've discussed before but apprenticeships in the UK are a fucking farce and largely exploited as cash write-downs for the financial/service sectors.
  18. As the list of crimes against Klopp's name here grows, this, for me, is the most heinous. He's called 'Lazer' for fucksake, he'd sell fuckloads of the new ugly shirts to spurgy bellends off the intereweb.
  19. I have no problem with this in principle, in fact, it could be incredibly beneficial and proactive with the ageing timebomb we are walking towards. People are living longer and are far healthier in latter/old age. But that's not how it will play out of course and people will be flogged and sent on 'retraining opportunities' which will see them have their access to benefits/pensions revoked if a brickie can't retrain as a charted accounted in three one hour sessions.
  20. I still think Marković could make it here, he's rapid.
  21. No, I agree Werner should be shot. Though I fear they'd miss as he'd stray offside and the bullet would miss rendering the whole charade embarrassing to the assembled throng wanting to see an offing.
  22. Obviously, I agree. Werner was quite clearly trying to score against Manchester City there and was rightly punished. If anything, he should have been shot for having the fucking audacity, so got off lightly.
