  1. I don't know how I am gonna cope with diego costa in that chelsea team next season. gotta watch over my bp lest I become real bitter
  2. It ain't over till Fat Sam sings or in his case, is sung against.
  3. Think most of us agree that Lallana is a good player and would fit in right with Rodger's system but 25mill is atleast 10mill too much and at that quoted price, its a no from me. We can get kono and use the left out money to get a super left back like moreno/ criscito
  4. http://metro.co.uk/2014/04/30/wayne-rooney-asks-manchester-united-not-to-appoint-louis-van-gaal-4714701/
  5. Cant we just buy the remaining tickets for their game and go thr & cheer on the blueshite and get the atmosphere up and going? They dont sell out their allocation anyway
  6. Are we still looking at Bender? Gooners were supposed to have a head start on that
  7. R Rodrigues, Konoplyanka, Lars Bender, Firminho/ Rakitic. We need an RB too considering Johnson's poor form. If he agrees to a pay cut then he might stay her but we should look to improve on him. Look at a couple of players on a free like Reges, Musacchio and get one more back-up striker. I know Borini is there but am not sure hes ready for us just yet.
  8. Yup. Anything above 60k and the club would have to contribute towards infrastructure. part of the reason why we are stopping at 58.8 k now. To go above the 60k, it would take even more time of planning and more money from our end.
  9. From the Beeb: http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27122370 Liverpool will hand manager Brendan Rodgers a significant summer transfer kitty as the club seek to build on qualification for the Champions League. The Reds, favourites to win Premier League, believe Europe's elite competition will help them attract top talent and are willing to pay for it. "It will cost what it costs when we decide who the manager wants to buy," said managing director Ian Ayre. “We always expected that the squad we need for next season will be very different to the squad for this year” Ian AyreLiverpool chief Liverpool's small squad have benefited from not playing in Europe this season. After finishing seventh last term, their target for the current campaign was to finish in the top four. However, they have exceeded all expectations and are now assured of at least third place, avoiding a qualifying play-off to reach the Champions League proper. With three games left, they top the Premier League table and need seven points to be crowned champions. "It has always been tougher in the transfer market when you are not competing at the highest level," said Ayre. "We have always been fortunate to be able to bring great players here despite that, but there is no question it opens up a few doors for us and makes it a little bit easier. "There is no question we always expected that the squad we need for next season will be very different to the squad that we have needed for this year when we were not playing in Europe." It is likely that Liverpool's main focus will be on defensive reinforcements.
  10. Giggs to United players: "I want your loyalty, your commitment, your hard work and your wife".
  11. Telegraph - Manchester United prepared to see if Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola would take over at Old Trafford I can imagine the conversation b/w Woodward and Pep go on these lines Ed - 'Hello is that Pep'??? Pep - 'Yes' Ed - 'My name is Edward Woodward' Pep - 'Oh yes the equalizer, I used to watch the show' Ed - 'No!!!.....Ed from Man Utd' Pep - 'Is this a wind-up?' Ed - 'No really it's me' Pep - click!!!!! Taken from the comments on the article at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/10779287/Manchester-United-prepared-to-see-if-Bayern-Munich-coach-Pep-Guardiola-would-take-over-at-Old-Trafford.html
  12. If they played against them like they did against us, then I fancy them to get a point at least. They are not gonna get bummed because scum's team is shite and Giggs being the manager is not gonna lift the team up in the same way Kenny did for us after the Owl! It might lift them a bit but not to the extent where we start to see the Man Utd of old. Lets not forget Giggs has hardly any managerial experience and I do not know about his tactical acumen.
  13. I dont know who the bigger fool is - The Glazers for appointing him based on slurface's suggestion or Moyes for allowing a clause that will give him only a year's pay-off for not finishing in the top 4.
  14. All good things must come to an end! It was fun while it lasted. Now to search for other options for my daily dose of laughs.... Not gonna be easy
  15. The best thing about this for me is Brad Jones, Moses and Agger's reactions at the back. They are all genuinely chuffed and seem happy. This points to a very good team spirit and a very happy dressing room. Imagine Moses now and after he goes back to Chelsea, he would spend time with cunts like JT, shitcoat. I dont think he will get to enjoy these kind of scenes there.
  16. Anyone else got tingles in their spine! What a class club!
  17. The BOSS has spoken! Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has warned Manchester City he will "unleash" the power of the Anfield crowd when they meet on Sunday. Rodgers wants to take full advantage of a fired-up crowd who are dreaming of Liverpool winning their first league title since 1990. "We will unleash the supporters yet again on our opponents," said Rodgers. "I sense a real nostalgia about the place, a feeling of the old Liverpool. It will drive us, not hold us back." He added: "It has been a long time since the league title was on Merseyside. "The most important thing is to get into the Champions League because I know what that brings economically. "But if we can continue to play well, get a little bit of luck then hopefully we can make their dreams come true. We will give it absolutely everything."
  18. When your opponents score immediately after your celebration.
  19. I am not in England, in fact I do not live anyway near. The first time I saw LFC on TV was in 2003 and I am not sure what attracted me but it was love at first sight. Then when I started digging into the history of the club, I have felt prouder and prouder to be a fan and to be part of the "greatest football fans in the world". There is something classy about our club, something the other clubs cant buy even if they have all the money in the world. Its my dream to visit Anfield and nearly made it last November but had to pull out at the last moment. Will definitely make it this year and I cant wait to experience The KOP.
  20. For those going to the game, save your vocal chords for Sunday. Its one of our club's important games and we will need to create hell. Let's show em all why we are known as the world's best supporters. The players should be shown this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dwR2mQV-xM Cant wait for Sunday!! Watching the game with a gooner cuz and a Manc cuz. Come on you REDS!!
  21. I would prefer Sakho too. Just worried about his pace after returning from injury. Carroll does not offer pace but jovetic/ dzeko/ negredo have decent pace. Biggest challenge for Sakho I think
  22. "I think we are going to win, really," Mourinho said. "In the end of the two legs, I think we are going to score more goals than them. In this moment it's 3-1, I think in the end it can be 4-3 or 5-4."
