It was a link showing the extent of corruption within Ukraine. I believe the latest chart shows the country at 122 out of 180, the higher the number the more corrupt. I believe Russia stand at 166. So in shorthand two extremely corrupt countries.
As for Mark Ames's (American journo who lived and worked in Moscow before Putin kicked him out, before the old Putin apologist gets thrown) veiw that targeting the bridge in Crimea was a reckless mistake, I agree. Ukraine are on the ascendancy so a pre emptive strike on what seems a civilian target seemed strange. It could also cause reservations amongst people in other countries who were/are understanding on their financial aid being sent to Ukraine (despite its history of corruption) to repel the Russian invasion. An example of which being Brazil; population 220mil, who are about to elect a president who has been vocally critical at the lack of peace talks in Ukraine.
