  1. Maybe. Still getting plenty of noise that they are gonna be up for putting in the final nail against us. Probably be a dvd if they do...
  2. The whole picture and associated narrative is distorted by Abu Dhabi - the cheating bastards. We all know that dropping points is likely fatal so we are despondent when it happens, but the reality is that we and Arsenal too have just simply slipped up in a way that used to be totally normal in a title race. Demento's mancs sides would frequently drop points in "shockers".....This for example happened in April 1997.... https://www.premierleague.com/match/2081 It was all part of the twists and turns of a title race. What has changed is that mostly the cheats don't do twists and turns as they are pretty much the human embodiment of a cheat code. Without their involvement this would be a thrilling title race between two of the league's traditionally big and successful clubs where each game carries the risk and jeopardy of dropped points. Abu Dhabi have largely killed that. And that is the real story - but it is one you won't found reported by the media and you won't hear from fans of other clubs who scream the word "bottlers" at us and Arsenal for racking up points totals that would win most leagues in history....We when we lost out with 97 points had a higher total than every title winning side in history bar one at that point......Who? Yes, you guessed it Abu Dhabi the year before. Our 92 pts 2nd would win nearly all leagues down the years - was a higher total than "The Invincibles" and Demento's mancs team rarely if ever got to it. It will drive us all mad if we allow ourselves to be driven by the Abu Dhabi cheating bastards narrative. We should enjoy the fact that our team has been fucking mostly boss for years now and enjoy fact we win as many games as we do and see where we end up. I heard Palace fans after game on Sunday shouting 'Up The City" etc....Fuck them, the stupid cunts. We all know it isn't fair and it won't be unless the PL's charges are upheld and Abu Dhabi are punished accordingly, which IMHO likely won't ever happen - so fuck them and their tainted titles...It is a bent game we are present at 'losing' whilst trying to do things the right way as much as it hurts and is frustrating is better than 'winning' like Abu Dhabi are. Of course winning against them in the game they have perverted is fucking boss beyond belief and it still could happen and fuck me would it be sweet, but don't let anyone tell you we've bottled it or are failures if the bent game is one we can't win.
  3. Them losing to Forest at weekend as great as it would be, would in some ways be bad news for us as the already foaming at the mouth, desperate to fuck us over mutants, will be even more desperate. Although I suppose arguably a worsening of their own plight is irrelevant, fucking us is bigger to the small time twats.
  4. Some of it is deffo related to style of play We have also had some rotten luck at times - The recent Jota one for example and Tsimikas with Klopp. Training injuries have been the area at times where I have wondered what the fuck are we up to!
  5. A week does not go by where we don't lose someone for a significant period.
  6. Coming back in uefa cup and trying to win title are in no way shape or form mutually exclusive and fortunately our manager would not for a second entertain the silly thought they might be.
  7. Calling Kenwright a Kopite....absolute whopper. I know they have to shoehorn a reference to us into everything but that is laughable.
  8. The shite having a night off in advance of their cup final in 9 days time.
  9. I get what you are saying I really do but it does not work like that IMO...never really has. The problem is the cheats have distorted what title races look like and what were normal results until they did are now seen as disasters.
  10. It was in our own hands still against the cheats and all we were looking for was the mildest of slips from an unproven at the distance arsenal, which duly arrived yesterday.... We of course fucked up yesterday too. Now of course it is significantly less likely we will win it than it was after the mancs as it os no longer in our own hands against the side who are the most proven at the distance. But for my money to say it was gone after the game at the toilet is wrong - we were never going to win all of our last 8, same applies to arsenal and IMO even the cheats. I can absolutely understand anyone who says it is gone after yesterday, but after the game at the toilet - no.
  11. Nothing would surprise me when it comes to the cheats.
  12. He has made 12 matchday squads....unused sub in 7. Still shite like.
  13. I'd love to see them hammered - i just can't see it happening, they'll tie PL up in endless litigation and i think the league know this and it will all wither away and end up in a situation where guilt or innocence is never 'proven' and there will be some sort of meaningless statement from PL about case 'expiring' I hope to fuck I am wrong like.
  14. As much as I and I am sure we all would like to see it, the idea that abu dhabi are going to receive a meaningful punishment is IMHO fanciful.
  15. You've summarised it better than i did! I added this inbetween my original post and your reply. The people who would likely be the modern day equivalent of those from that era and who would most likely keep those traditions alive/create new ones to sit alongside them are now a much smaller percentage of our crowd and are spread thinly across all four corners...
  16. Far too many people in anny rd upper today strolling up steps 5 mins into 2nd half with armfuls of fucking hotdogs and coke...going the match for so many now is like going the pictures - sit back quietly in your seat with your hotdog, popcorn and coke and be entertained Far too many people sitting in silence as songs started. And frankly people may not like this and i will probably do a bad job of explaining it (i can do it verbally when discussing this with my mates but can't seem to find the words when it comes to writing it down) but also just not enough what i would describe as traditional (for want of a better phrase) Liverpool suppprters, and yeah this sounds horrible probably, but you can just tell by looking around that you aren't gonna get a rendition of "Poor Scouser Tommy" or "Every Other Saturday" or "Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly" from so many..... Yeah maybe those songs are old and belong in another era, but that is sort of the point sadly - the traditions have been lost, the people who created them displaced/replaced and the attitude behind those traditions and the behaviours changed in the ground beyond recognition and as a result 'our famous atmosphere' mostly only exists in another bygone era. The people who would likely be the modern day equivalent of those from that era and who would most likely keep those traditions alive/create new ones to sit alongside them are now a much smaller percentage of our crowd and are spread thinly across all four corners... The people responsible for creating the atmosphere in the ground are overall a very different set of people, from a much, much more diverse set of demographics and who exist in an extremely different world and have very different behaviours to those who came before them.
  17. 8 points from our last 5 games - a poor return - even if it was 10 from 5 which is not exactly world beating form we'd be sound now.
  18. I hear you. But until abu dhabi distorted what title races looked like title winning sides throughout history would often lose 5/6 games a season and those losses would include games at home to lower half sides and would sometimes occur during the run in.... Of course it looks a lot worse now than it did at kick off today, but all we can do is win the next game and then the one after that and so on. Does it look likely now, no - sadly. But whilst it is still in front of us then we have to chase it and hope.
