Yeah they are shite and yeah we should be beating them - but it is always a hard place to go and get 3 pts for us - for obvious reasons. There really shouldn't have been a knock on effect in a home game against dross like Palace - if there was then that reflects very badly on us. I tend to agree we have young, inexperienced players in key areas and they'll learn and adapt hopefully. The biggest problem i feel we have though is how we constantly have to make so many changes because of players being unavailable.....it really hurts our rhythm and fluidity/continuity. I haven't got any stats to 'prove' this, but i'd wager heavily we make more changes each week than our rivals and by some distance. We rarely seem to put out an unchanged side and often the changes are wholesale. We need more reliable and robust players - we need to sort out the issues we have with injuries - it is killing us.

Are we really that bad? Yeah how the season has petered out these last few weeks is frustrating and disappointing and we were spineless at the pit the other night. But we are 3rd in the league having legitimately challenged for the league until April. This was with one of the worst injury crises we've ever had. We need to get to the bottom of why we get so many injuries and we need to bin bag one or two and make a handful of key signings in the summer (DM and LCB for me) and go again. We need tweaks and not an overhaul IMO....more reliable and robust footballers who can stay fit and a little bit of quality in key areas.

I'll never understand this logic. It is the tories who have lied, who have failed to keep promises, who have failed to deliver - so why should all parties be tarred with same brush. It would not surprise me - we make a ridiculous amount of changes week in week out.....6 tonight and it was 5 or 6 at Fulham weekend from Atalanta. Not all are forced of course, but across season many clearly are and it hurts us.

We really need some fit and healthy footballers who play week in week out. The constant chopping and changing in our line ups is no good for us - just as understandings get formed things are broken up, we get a partnership working and it is split....It happens far too much and it hurts our rhythm and fluidity. Wasn't all down to injuries tonight mind, but you don't see Arsenal changing their entire midfield from the weekend - because they have solid, reliable players who are playing well in a settled side. And key men like Rice and Odegaard are reliable - Rice plays every week, as does Odegaard and they've played pretty much every week in previous seasons too. Yeah the mancs are a mess but their best player, who dragged them to a win tonight - Fernandes plays week in week out, he is never missing, never injured, never on the sick list, he is just a constant, rock solid and reliable and robust and it helps them massively....they'd be bottom half without him being like he is. We need more reliable, robust (quality of course) players - so we can have a more settled side and better continuity etc.
