  1. Downing gets dogs abuse on here, but he's a better player than Borini. Yet Fabio get's a free pass even though he's been 100% ineffective in every game he played. Why is that?
  2. Keep Henderson, get rid of Allen. Obviously keep both if we don't bring another midfielder in, but if it's a choice between the aforementioned....Henderson every single time.
  3. Getting rid of players the moment they are unhappy is what we've done for years Section. We'll end up selling Suarez because he wants out, as we did Mascherano, Alonso, Torres, Arbeloa etc. Were too nice as a club, we just let players leave without any serious fight. What your suggesting is exactly what Souness was slaughtered for, allowing McMahon and Beardsley to leave because they had the arrogance to want out. It's either the "how dare they want to leave a club like liverpool, get rid of them" or it's "well it is Barcelona / Real Madrid / Chelsea.....soon to be / Arsenal we can't stop them from leaving" angle. The club need to grow a pair of bollocks for once and do the exact opposite of what your suggesting. Say shut up to Suarez and tell Arsenal the answer is no regardless of the money involved.
  4. If we sell Suarez for 55 million to Arsenal, whilst sorting out deals for Soldado, Eriksen and Bernard behind the scenes, it might improve us. That'll be the biggest transfer fee any club will get for Suarez as he will only agitate for a move abroad in a couple of seasons anyway. That's some serious money being offered for one player and can be spread around a number of positions to strengthen us. You have to remember Suarez's disciplinary record and his mental disposition as well when you cater that into the equation, you'd have to consider letting him go.
  5. I haven't even mentally acknowledged that Arsenal are even a serious contender for his signature, thats how ludicrous these bids are. The 1 pound extra just shows exactly the kind of bullshit that's going down. It'll go up in 10,000 pound increments from now on, just create a software that instantly sends Arsenal a rejection letter after every lodged bid, it'll save time.
  6. Moyes is a good manager, but he's not good enough to mimic Ferguson, he won't keep the media at bay as Ferguson did and he will never garner the respect of that squad like Ferguson had. His two main mistakes thus far are the hiring of the Everton back room staff and aiming too high with his transfer targets. Thiago was more their level, but the Fabregas / Modric interest is going nowhere. He'll fail to attract those types of players which will have a negative effect on other potential targets because they'll see players rejecting the club.
  7. Jsims thinks that FSG hired Commoli to do whatever he wanted, and Commoli and Kenny decided to buzz off them by signing "a load of shite" whilst secretly pissing themselves laughing as FSG gave the all clear.
  8. FSG are more to blame than anyone for those signings, they were the ones that wanted to implement moneyball into the premier league, so they hired their stats man (Commoli) after listening to the advice from Billy Beane. They told Commoli to find value in the market, so he looked through all the stats and pulled out those players because statistically they were undervalued. Downing because he crossed the most, Henderson because he created the most chances of any young player, Adam for his chance creation stats and assists, Suarez for his goals and Enrique because he was the most defensively solid left back in the league statistically. FSG wanted to try this strategy, thats why they lost all their money, because money ball means nothing in football.
  9. Soldado isn't coming here, i'd highly doubt that he's even a target. Only the Daily Star, caught offside (biggest bullshitting site) and the evening standard are mentioning this. It looks like nonsense to me.
  10. What FSG need to realise is you need to speculate to accumulate. You can't slash wages continually and advance up the table. Top class players require top class wages. It might work in the Bundesliga or in Italy but it'll never work in the premier league. United, City and Chelsea could easily spend 100 million on transfers per season, how are you going to challenge for honours on a shoestring in comparison to that kind of buying power? We buy potential, we sell stars...thats our policy.
  11. What happens next year when Barca inevitably sign Ter Stegan or Courtois and were left with our dick in our hands over Reina. Napoli will come in with a low ball offer and he'll be shipped off for 1 million or most probable a free transfer. Then what are these "barca will sign him next year" knobs gonna say?
  12. How is it a good thing to let Reina go out on loan? were gaining nothing from it and it means Jones will now deputise in his absence. So we've gone from Reina + Mignolet to Mignolet + Jones, Napoli have gained a world class keeper for virtually nothing, all to save a few quid from the wage bill. I wouldn't mind if we got 8-10 million for him, a decent fee could go towards signing other targets, but we've weakened the team for no apparent reason. Fucking infuriates me the incompetence of our club sometimes.
  13. If were loaning a 30 year old world class keeper to a italian club after the last two loans deals we did there, and subsidising Reina's wages too......then thats the most incompetence i've seen at the club since...well....forever.
  14. Doubt it, if he stays and he produces what he did last season (he'll probably be even better), we'll see how many fans are saying the snide things they are about him now, when he's firing hat-tricks into the net and megging everyone in sight.
  15. Yes it's worth keeping him, he's the best chelsea player... in a team of top class players. Selling him would be a monumental mistake, likewise Rooney being sold by United or us selling Suarez.
  16. Anyone that actually wants Suarez sold after he single handedly carried us the entire season is an idiot and i've got nothing else too say to them.
