  1. silverlining would call him "Morono".
  2. He wanted a sofa and they bought him a really good sofa.
  3. Disagree on a few points and thought the writing was a bit rusty but I've always liked reading these articles and wish there were more of them these days. Like a cross between Holden Caulfield and, I dunno, someone else really famous. Encore une fois.
  4. Not in much of a rush then, are they? Talk about inappropriately named.
  5. Excellent. Okay so you get the guitarist, write the seminal debut LP and mail me the tracks. I'll lay down the drums and post them back. We can be like The Postal Service, but call ourselves Airmail Small Packets instead or something.
  6. Hopefully someone will make Alan Smith disappear.
  7. If Gerrard laments not winning a league title perhaps he could look back at last season rather than blaming the guy who gave him his most successful (both on a personal level and medals) years as a player. Or maybe he should have signed for Valencia in 2001 :)
  8. Fuck what Raheem Sterling buys into. Fuck it hard, all holes.
  9. The Guest is a proper cunt. Still, I guess he can console himself with the one league cup we've won since the evil one left. With the added bonus that we now have a magnificent squad, well equipped to challenge on all fronts.
  10. In that case he could argue that other managers wouldn't have faith in younger players like Sterling, and the only reason he'll be sold for a massive fee is because he stuck with him when other managers wouldn't put their trust in youth as much (e.g. Mourinho). Therefore Brendan's methods increase the value of younger players, as they get more exposure/game time. Let's say that Sterling is sold for £50m this summer (not an outrageous proposition). That would be £125m for just two players in the last two summers under Brendan's management. Maybe FSG will tolerate the fuck ups if Rodgers can keep churning out the big transfer fees (maybe Coutinho or Ibe next summer).
  11. Shirley this is a massive red herring. FSG just use FFP as a constant justification to be mingebags in the transfer market and with wages.
  12. Your forum emotion analysis is second to none.
  13. Bah, I'm 40 this year. You're trying to ruin my unfulfilled rock 'n' roll dream. Anyway, Mudhoney's last LP was way better than, for example, the abysmal Piece of Cake released in 1992. Bowie is still churning out LPs nominated for awards. If you're good enough you're old enough.
  14. Disregarding all of that I don't expect a new manager to make much of an impression.
  15. I'm sure we'll hear something from FSG soon when the season ends.
  16. We don't have over £100m to waste on shite, though. Getting rid of Rodgers and all his staff, getting rid of whichever players the new manager doesn't want, signing new players he does want. Can you honestly see all of that going well for us in one summer? Without the Suarez money to fund it all.
  17. If something like that happens then okay, let's see if it works. I have no idea how it will play out.
  18. Fair enough, as long as you judge the next managers by the same criteria.
