  1. Great listI'd allow you the Wirral stuff. Although Bill Ryder Jones is a massive moaning Evertonian scruff. The Real People?
  2. Carcass are the thinkin mans grindcore!Cast albums were a bit patchy with great singles. There's a b side called Get on you which I used to love. Boss live band
  3. It's a great throwaway pop single. It sounds like The Roses. It's being over analysed to fuck by a load of beauts. Get over it or just don't worry about it.Like there's nothing else to listen to? DMAS
  4. The land of make believe by the fizz is quite haunting
  5. Beady Eye weren't that big. I don't think even the Oasis fans got behind them once they heard the material. No cunt rated them ever. George from Asda dadrock. Shed Seven without the tunes. Seen Andy Bell play with Ride last year and they were great
  6. They're massive but if you can't get into it in that state...pure dogshit!
  7. Muse seem to be the new Queen. Who held the title for years
  8. Fives not enough really. Mind you a lot of people are taking Queen!

  12. Ive got a broad taste, from the Britpop bands like UB40, Def Leppard, right back to classic rock, like Wings.
  13. 25 years ago since they played the Royal Court. Remember seeing Prong (support band) in the Lobster Pot getting that crazy red sauce shit they used to put on everything.
  14. And an album of outakes The Olde WorldHard to pick between The Strands and Waterpistol
  15. The Magical World Of The Strands is possibly my favourite album of all time. Rated by anyone who knows it. Not enough people know it. Mick Head is a genius.
  16. Didn't you live in Speke? No wonder that dual carriage way felt like colemendy. Great posts as always Section
  17. He's a weird one Elvis Costello. I've just never got round to properly listening to his albums. I'm familiar with his hits but I've never properly connected. Deffo nothing wrong with that voice. Instantly recognisable! Just remember him for the Scully theme tune. Watched it recently...shite! The theme song still sounds fantastic and it was a B side. Painting the town red is a great title!
  18. Depends on your age I suppose. Liverpool was hard work in the eighties. The nineties felt like someone turned the colour on. I was eighteen in 90 so I guess it was always gonna be my time. 2 for 1 in the krazy house on a Thursday night, The La's in the picket, euro 96 and town opening till very late... 4am!, drugs were great, women were liberated, smoking on the bus, castaway, Le Bateau, Robbie Fowler taking the piss, The Stairs at The Picket, md2020, rocky by the flim, loads of great films, loads of bad clobber, student grants, giros, The Real People at the Irish Centre, elephant beer, the Lomax, the original Heebies, the shitty cavern on a Monday for 50p bevvies, shitholes like Pickwicks for the same, hooch? using public phone boxes, the Jacaranda, Cream, 051, L2, the fuckin Grafton! Standing on the Kop and pulling birds in the Lobster pot!!
