    He hasnt been in the top ten premiership goalies for at least the last three seasons. If you'd take off your red tinted glasses for just five seconds you'd see he's one of our most easily upgradable players.

    His only positive attribute as a keeper is his ability to start counterattacks with his distribution and even that's been dogshit lately. He's a poor shot stopper, struggles to command his area from set pieces and I don't think he's saved a penalty in his whole time here, which is a disgrace. If we can get a fee over 10 mill we should bite their fucking hands off.

    Very good performance. With Coutinho pulling the strings this team is capable of anything. Just need a monster DM and a dominant CB and the league is there for the taking next season.

    When you play good passing football people are more inclined to show a bit of leeway, hence Rodgers getting my 100% backing. Makes a refreshing change from 7 years of Rafas anti football shite.

    Yes congratulations to Rafael Benitez for those five champions league qualifications. Your amazing feat of just scraping fourth place every year with the second most expensively assembled squad (yes more expensive than the mancs and arsenal) in the league will go down in legend. And just to cement the legend you even managed to finish a remarkable 7th in your final season, thus thwarting any chance we had of signing Champions League calibre players, and condemning future managers to shop in the bargain bin for years to come. But it's ok Rafa I forgive you, after all you "get us".

    Good engine, runs around a lot, decent first touch, good at 2 yard sideways passes, scores about 4 goals a season. Basically hes our version of Mark Noble or Kevin Nolan.

    Hmm lets see he finished 7th his last season here with the third most expensive team in the league. He then went to Italy and drove the defending champions with the best squad in the division scuttling back to mediocrity after Mourinho gave then the briefest glimpse of success. Miraculously he manages to land another decent gig with Chelsea, another squad full of internationals. Despite having one of the best teams on paper in the league they're currently battling the might of Everton and Spurs for a champions league place. Clearly a world class manager. :whatever:

    Typical Rafa - great in Europe, dogshit where it matters. The day he actually goes on a long run in Europe AND competes for the league title is the day I may give him the tiniest scintilla of credit. But it'll never happen.

His spells at Inter and now Chelsea, not to mention his desultory final season here, show that whatever he once had is gone.

    The reason we're a "non entity" is because we have no champions league football to attract the best players. And the reason we're not in the Champions League is because your mate managed to finish 7th in one of the worst years in premiership history. Maybe if he spent more time coaching the team and less time lining up his next gig we wouldn't be in this mess. But hey at least "he gets us" god bless him.
