Markovic is not a wing-back or a defensive minded player at all and should never be played in that position again. Likewise I think Ibe will be sensational in a purely attacking role. He's done well in that wing-back role but it's obviously not his natural position and I hope we can push him forward into a proper attacking role at some point.

Great result. Performance was flat but I can live with that considering we just played 2 days ago. Unbeaten in 10 league games now. Onwards and upwards!

We've given so many free kicks away in dangerous today. A better team would have scored 3 or 4 from set pieces alone today.

Bring on Sturridge and Balotelli to give their defence something to think about. Not worrying them at all at the moment.

Both Spurs and the BS struggled badly today just 2 days after their UEFA cup match. That's not a good sign.

United are wank. Totally flattered themselves when they beat us 3-0 and I thoroughly expect to give them a good hiding in the return match. They would be nowhere near the top 4 if not for De Gea. Speaks volumes that their most important player is their 'keeper.

A great result against a strong Spurs team, especially considering we had Lucas and Sterling out and they had their full strength team. Sturridge did okay although he does look noticeably slower. Hopefully that's just due to lack of match fitness. Ibe did well too, a great alternative to have to Sterling. Mignolet was excellent, quite an amazing turnaround in form for him. Lots of positives to take from that game, only concern being how do we replace Lucas who might not be everyone's cup of tea but does a good job in protecting the defence.
