The fact that we never get any runners into the box is down to the coaching and the tactics. We see the midefielders lining up around the edge of the box looking to pick up scraps, and no fucker in the middle trying to get on the end of things. If we play a lone striker it's imperative that midfielders get into the box, and we just don't do that. As well as that, KK has gone for the classic, but outdated, little and large strikers, which works about as well as a sinclair c5 in this day and age. I love KK, but his tactical nous has shown to be lacking.

Not many positives to take from today, other than Coates and Kelly, although Spearing did pretty well, and Hendo wasn't as bad as some are trying to make out. I am not too sure about KK's position right now, especially after JWH made it very clear at the start of the season that champs league qualification is a must. Yes, we're in the europa league, but that will be of little comfort to our owners, as the money will only be half of CL cash. the bottom line here is that every manager has played Lucas, even hodgson didn't want him sold after originally touting him around, he now holds the coveted number 5 shirt for Brazil and has technical ability of the highest order. He is a pass and move player who rarely wastes a pass, and has much greater vision that he is given credit for. To put it another way, he makes an ambitious pass when it is on instead of trying to force it like Adam does. Same with terry. I would regard Sami as a much better reader of the game, because he hardly ever had to make the kind of tackles that Carra has to on a regular basis. I disagree. I think we allowed them to play well by leaving the midfield wide open, and basically giving them the freedom to do whatever they wanted. Milan weren't that great, it's us that were terrible. We simply cannot keep trying to re-write history in this way.
