When I've seen Stevie play of late he's been much deeper, and that's if he's playing at all with recent fitness issues. Suarez, is a great player, but I don't think he's blessed with searing pace, neither is he the fox in the box. We are man for man arguably one of the slowest teams in the league by my reckoning. I would say Bellamy, well into his 30s and only fit for a game a week is our fastest.

I liked the look of Pobgrebnyak for Fulham on Sunday. Big, powerful, knows where the net is. Why can't we be so astute in the transfer / loan market as a club like Fulham. What does Comolli do with his time? Contrast his 5 goals in three PL games with Carrolls return.

He's been poor when playing right midfield to be honest. Its still a problem position for us. But I've no doubt he will come through, he's just lacking in a bit of confidence to go and do his own thing. Would love him to put in a blinder and shut all the doubters well and truly up.

Skrtel by a country mile and that was the general consensus of opinion around me, although he was playing Mason onside for the first goal. I thought Stewart Downing was brilliant first half, and faded a bit towards the end of the second and for extra time. Great pen though. And big Andy could do well to sit down and watch how Dirk came off the bench and didnt give a Cardiff player with a ball a minutes peace. Suarez looked 'leggy' to me. Wasn't making the usual runs out wide and losing defenders. Thought Cardiff stuck to their game plan very well. Its very difficult for aplyer to stand out against such a well organised side. Great credit to them.

Is it not possible in the 'heat of the moment' seeing Patrice's half baked offering of a handshake, that a player whose reputation has been tarnished beyond compare through the verdict of some dubious commitee siding with an otherwise unsubstantiated, uncorroboarated version of events from the same player who has played the 'race' card before, might have though 'naah, fuck you....I don't want to shake your hand...'? The thing about Downing is that he's a far better player than he's shown for us. I can remember him coming to Anfield with Boro and playing brilliantly, getting down the wing and putting in great crosses. His touch was great, his passing was sound. Whats turned up this season is a very pale imitation. He seem devoid of all confidence for no particular reason. His partnership with Enrique down the left is shite. He left the field chuntering away about being subbed. He can't honestly thought he was justified in staying on the pitch with that garbage, surely?

Far more likely as an incitement to riot than any missed handshake. Double standards yet again.

I didn't see Kenny apologising to United and Ferguson unless I missed something. Didn't he say his actions in the interview were not befitting of a Liverpool manager, borne out of not being aware the Suarez failed to shake the liars hand? Hi everyone, 1st post and I'm not sure that its the topic that I necessarily wanted to start with but I think the 'higher echelons' at the club has missed every opportunity to offer its own perspective on the Suarez-Evra affair. They have alluded to the fact that 'everything was not right' with the process when Suarez was charged and found guilty, without ever backing it up with cold hard fact. In the meantime Suarez has been allowed / enforced to stay in the shadows whilst his character has been assassinated from every corner. They have not allowed him opportunity to clear his name and accepted the punishment from the FA's Kangaroo court despite not a shred of corroborating evidence to Evra's account. How spineless is that? Lets accept a tarring with the 'racist dirty brush' in the interests of race relations, to satisfy twats like Piar Powar, who himself this week has called someone a 'coconut'. And its all been left for Kenny to deal with, taking potshots from smug cunts like Geoff Shreeves, who deliberately provokes Dalglish amidst 'racist bastard' chants emanating from the United dressing room. And why the fuck did Dalglish not know?? Why didn't someone from the board or even his captain tell him at half time?? Its a sad a fact that particularly under American ownership, corporate sponsorship and brand identity is more important than the truth and a players reputation.
