  1. B..b..but some of these guys have GUT FEELINGS about him! Surely that trumps any of your so-called facts!
  2. I had the misfortune of living in M*****ter for 10 years from the mid 80's. I lived 200 metres from Maine Road and had a friend who did freelance photography for the Evening News who used to give me tickets for City. I went to the 1989 - IIRC - City Liverpool game when we won 4-1. I think they ended up relegated that season. But I went in the City end & sat there (it was a weird set-up with seating behind the goal & standing on the sides). I kept my scouse mouth shut but they sussed me out pretty quick. They were brilliant. They just joked all the game. TBF they were all fucked-up on Es and smoking spliffs (Madchester time) and when we hammered them they sang "We Only Sing When We're Losing".. Anyway, times have changed and they are now officially the worst fans in the world. Shame.
  3. I think he'd be a perfect fit for them. Suits their style of play and would appease the fans. But probably too old for Arsene.
  4. Listen guy, we controlled that game and would probably have won it even without the sending-off. But you still had Nasri, Walcott, Arshavin... still barely troubled our defence. Your keeper and CB kept you in the game until Suarez and Meireles bamboozled your guys. But even if we had drawn I would still be happy today because we bossed the game for at least 75% of the time. At the Emirates. We are so much stronger than 12 months ago and you are so much weaker. Be afraid.
  5. Now we know why KK is happy to keep Aqua at the club.
  6. The poor football was the only reason I wanted him gone. I wouldn't have chosen him in the first place but like every supporter was only too willing to back him and sincerely wanted him to succeed. I have not often turned a match off even if we are losing - in fact never before - but that Man City game I did and started dreading the games coming up. It was like waking from a bad dream when he went and now he can just STFU.
  7. "...it would be with the backing of the important people," Hodgson said. "That would be the media, who represent the fans..." That tells me everything about this character. Kissing the arse of the media. Again.
  8. Thing is, it doesn't really matter how much they spend, with Mancini there, they are always gonna be that negative.
  9. wtf? is it true City have signed Sneider? Football Italia - the Italian football website for English-speaking football fans
  10. Exactly this. Remember how certain media fuckers used transfer fees (alleged) as a stick to beat Rafa.
  11. This is only true if you want it to be. We could, if we choose, take the route of eg the Bundesliga where the expensive corporate seats effectively subsidise the majority cheaper seats/standing areas. My point is that there is nothing "god given" about monopolistic economics. (Unless you're Margaret Thatcher, of course, in which case believing anything else is heresy).
  12. You should have put SPOILER at the top of that.

  14. A.A.'s agent: The move is not at risk,” the agent told ANSA. “It’s still possible. There is no ultimatum because ultimatums should never be given in football.” “I don’t know what they are writing in England,” Zavaglia continued. “However, given that he is not in the plans of Liverpool any more, the player would want a permanent move. “Nevertheless, I repeat, the transfer is not at risk. We are just waiting for developments.” That guy must spend his life on the phone.
  15. I really, really don't begin to understand the Lucas hate. I've been arguing with reds for what? 2 seasons nearly now? What is it? You guys made your minds up early and aren't gonna change it whatever? But the fact is you aren't arguing with me or anyone else on this board, you are arguing with Rafa, with at least 2 Brazilian managers and with Kenny Dalglish. You are in fact saying you are better judges than those guys. And are you? Really?
