The whole story is strange on the face of it.. 1. If it happened 10 times as evra claims then why not say something to the ref at the time, why wait til the game ends? 2. Why make the claim up in the first place if not true? 3. Why would Luis utterly deny is if he had done it? Why go public when if he had done it then he is hanging himself out to dry by denying it in public? Makes no sense 4. If there was a shred of evidence ( in terms of on one of sky's multi cameras ) that I'm sure they have gone over as they would love a story of this magnitude, if they could have found a picture or lip reader then it would be all over sky sports news I just genuinely don't know what to make of it, neither have anything to gain by lying but one is.. I hope Luis didn't say it, and I believe he didn't but I hate Liverpool being dragged through such a story .. As a club before every game we make a big deal about how the club won't accept it over the tannoy so for the club to fully back the player in public too makes me think and hope there is nothing in it as we would look daft Let's hope an end to this is soon

Part of me smiled at the utd result... But I generally don't hang my hat on their results, I'm more bothered what we do than what anyone else does.. But listening to their fans on various phone ins did make me laugh.. City were frightening though, they were ruthless in what they did to utd, it's one of the most shocking results the league has ever thrown up.. Hats off to them

very frustrating, overall we played well yes no argument but thats another game (along with Stoke, Sunderland, man u, plus Wolves, Brighton and Bolton where we got away with it) that we are just not taking chances that we create.. it costing us now, if it had been one game you can say we were unlucky and bemoan missed chances but not in so many games, thats too many points dropped and it cant continue, we need an out and out finisher to play up with luis, he creates so many chances, he is a scorer of great goals but not a great goalscorer.. but at the same time he isnt immune from critism as there were a couple of occassions when players were better placed and he went alone, and at least one where he squared it when it wasnt actually on.. his decision making needs to improve. There are issues with the midfiled too, Im affraid Charlie adam wont ever be good enough to start in central midfield for us, a good squad player but thats it for me.. the times we have been over run (especially second halfs ) in midfield this season is frightening.. its too important a position in the game, you win and lose games in central midfield and we arnt strong enough in there for me. Rm needs investment as well, Dirk (especially in a 442) cant play there, henderson looks better central and stevies days of playing there are gone.. the back four is too deep, when charlie lost the ball in midfield for there goal yesterday the gap that the norwich player had to run in to before he was put under pressure was daft.. we need to play a bit higher up its not all negative dont get me wrong, we played well and on another day could have had 4 but how many times have we said that this season alone

Norwich are on the back of a decent run.. 3 wins in their last 4 and the defeat being a good performance at old toilet where they should maybe have got something from the game.. but we should be beating these without too many problems at Anfield.. im sure they will have a go but if they do it will lead to gaps at the back and if we can actually take chances we create then we could have 3 or 4.. i really liked the wire, watched it a few years ago, thought they ended it a bit early, there was still places to go with it, but i guess thats the best way to finish a show, leave people wanting more

hasnt adam just had an automatic clause in his contract kick in to extend his contract in the same way as the greek did last week.. or did i dream that? so he is on a longer contract to clichy also wenger has stated that he wont sell to a rival, so that makes the clichy deal hard

more pleasing is that he was back in training at melwood today, this pre season is massive for andy.. i think he will want to prove all his doubters wrong and fill be flying come august
