  1. Heartwarming that an on-line casino has such a strong sense of social responsibility.
  2. Johnson couldn't have used this defence anyway. The 'young man's defence' is only available to blokes under 24.
  3. Remember getting extremely frustrated watching him as the opposition used to just pull his shirt all the time, and get away with it!
  4. £70 million ... £100 million ... £140 million. Wouldn't have mattered. It would have still been completely wasted on shite no matter what price he was sold for.
  5. Danny Murphy shows off his skill as pundit yet again on the BBC website. "I think Guardiola will be excited about working with a lot of them, especially Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling." I'm sure he cannot wait...
  6. Just saw this on the BBC website about the fourth-round draw ... "The draw will take place during The One Show on BBC One."
  7. Surely Chelsea would have insisted on a 'Restraint of Trade' clause in Mourinho's contract. I cannot see him being allowed to walk straight into a job at another English club.
  8. Stuff like this really gets on my nerves. It's like when they cross themselves before they go on the pitch or look to the Heavens after a goal. If there is a God, I hope he's got better things to do than make sure a footballer has a good game and collect his £100,000-a-week plus pay packet.
  9. Can't afford a new ground - insist the council should tip up some cash to help them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-34908063
  10. From the Guardian... http://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2015/aug/12/david-squires-on-the-first-week-of-the-premier-league-season?CMP=share_btn_fb
  11. See Di Maria is off for £44 million. I'm sure the papers will go on about the money wasted on Balotelli (it was) when he eventually goes but the Mancs have just lost almost £16 million on him.
  12. I just find it astonishing that someone - who has not been that successful throughout their career - has managed the amass the funds to buy 102 houses.
  13. Gordon Taylor used to hire the private upstairs dining room at a restaurant I used to go into and they spend half the night wandering around downstairs waiting for people to recognise him. Very few people actually did. I do not understand what he does to justify a £3 million salary other than turn up and say, "No he didn't do it" whenever a footballer faces charges. That's obviously other than Suarez. Gordon seemed quite convinced of his guilt no matter what he'd been accused of.
  14. Is this known about already? He's just an objectionable wanker. http://popbitch.com/home/2015/07/16/sterling-work/
  15. The fact that he was United fan obviously makes this funnier... http://metro.co.uk/2015/05/21/man-shoplifts-while-wearing-a-football-shirt-with-his-name-on-it-quickly-gets-caught-5209697/
  16. And the Harry Potter films have earned billions for Warner Brothers. How much has Sterling generated for LFC? Not a lot in comparison I'm guessing.
  17. Just spotted this on the BBC website. The mind boggles... Cam Bam: A player like Carrick would make this PSG team one Of the best with his ability to pass forward and his passing range.
  18. Nope, it's completely true. I used to live in Birkdale and my family knew the guy who owned it. £1 million when the Open was on and put back to exactly how it was after it finished. Owner refused. He was obviously quite wealthy.
  19. He lives in a £1 million pound plus house in Birkdale. He's twenty. I am finding it very hard to have any sympathy for him.
  20. Only problem with Sterling playing up-front is that he has to have at least ten chances before scoring.
  21. Watched some of the Villa match and the Sunderland players did not look remotely arsed. It's probably difficult to give a fuck when £50,000 or so still pops up in your bank account whether you win, lose or draw and no-one really expects your team to do a lot anyway.
  22. Sometimes watching Sterling is just like watching Steve McManaman. Gets into fabulous positions - woeful finishing.
  23. He's a special boy... Phil Jones says Manchester United have not given up hope of catching Premier League leaders Chelsea. United's 11-match unbeaten run came to a end on Sunday when they lost 1-0 to Southampton at Old Trafford, leaving them 12 points behind Chelsea. But Jones said: "You have seen teams dropping points. I think Chelsea were clear of City and then two games within the space of a week and they are back in it. That's how football changes. That gives us hope. There's always hope."
