  1. I'll celebrate when its a done deal. Too many false dawns down the years
  2. You would think so . Just hope he hasn't looked too closely at Lovren
  3. I know. Its a done deal and would probably happened at the end of last season if Klopp was available/willing then. Still doesn't mean I can't take a cheap shot at the owners for their inability to run a piss up in the proverbial brewery. They have fucked me off so many times one deal for a decent manager doesn't wipe the slate. It shouldn't have taken them 3+ years and 100's millions spunked on shite to get to this point.
  4. Look no further than his first few months and you'll see the issue . Spent ages chasing Siggurdson a player he knew intimately and really rated, Player refuses to follow him to Anfield ( what does that say about what Siggurdson thought of Rodgers btw ?) and chooses Spurs who think he must be great if his former manager wants him so badly . Player turns out to be fairly average and does nothing. Second choice is Joe Allen who is no better than a squad player o the rare occasion's hes fit.. His ability to spot a dud is non existent and has if anything got worse during his tenure.
  5. Was the deluded cunt expecting a call or what ? Sounds like he thinks he's been jibbed off at the altar
  6. Not wishing to piss on your chips but BBC reports ... " Liverpool's American owners Fenway Sports Group have no plans to travel to the UK and, at this stage, plan to oversee the recruitment process from the United States." What could possibly go wrong ?
  7. Even with my innate cynicism I think the Klopp deal is done . The owners have shown great naivety in their planning at times but even they can't be so fucking stupid as to not have a replacement lined up before they sacked Rodgers.
  8. Not much of a claim to fame really
  9. Is that the same as mini cheggers
  10. Is the correct answer. Blame the owners for employing him not Rodgers for getting what he's due.
  11. I agree with most of this and he was never the right choice but for me either but the fact he never seemed to learn annoyed me. Bizzarre selections ( who can for the time he played 4 CBs at home ), weakened teams in domestic cups where are biggest chance of trophies lie, failure to improve the defense etc etc. I think he is unable to manage a big squad with all the permutations and problems keeping players motivated . Few managers can really successfully . Stick him in a Swansea with a small first team squad and tight budget he will be fine,
  12. I think this too but with people like Ayre running the show you have to factor in a massive margin of fuck up. I want it done quickly as I think my head will fucking explode if they end up with a another rookie. We are relying on the people that brought us Mario Balotelli to get this sorted which is a sobering thought.
  13. I think it has to be Klopp. Ancelotti is a class act but you have to ask whether at 56 having done what he's done is he is up for sorting out a bit of basket case at Anfield given the ownership and structures we have embedded, I'm sure he would want a hell of a lot of assurances about having a massive kitty and a great deal of say how its spent, FSG are unlikely to get very close to what he wants. Klopp seems to be pretty much a done deal ( although with the people we have running the show that's a dangerous assumption ) so you have assume he can live with the set up , has some money to spend and a plan. To be fair many of us here a have said the squad is under-achieving and could improve quite quickly given the right management and I think he would do that. I would have some hope we have a brighter future under Klopp with some reason; something I have not felt for a long time The big doubt remains as to whether the owners can match the bigger boys on spending but I expect we will have seen the last of buying young hopefuls for inflated prices. If Klopp gets a couple of class players every window instead of half a dozen bench warmers and loanees then its a big step forward. Klopps not Flops please.
  14. Did I dream we sacked Brengone yesterday ?
  15. To be fair with Rooney it's like trying to polish a turd. Never a chance he will ever look anything other than the missing link
  16. I hope he does but I hope he will need to learn a bit quicker than he did here and know when to call time. I'm sure he could have cut a deal to go at the end of last season and made a much more dignified exit.
  17. The Bitters will be gutted as we have upstaged them again after their heroic draw
  18. Surely our fuckwit owners will have already secured Klopp's agreement . Why else would Rodgers be under a bus today ? Allardyce will be googling "pie shops in Liverpool " about now.
  19. would be better if Eric learned to spell his name correctly before leaping to his defense
  20. Only just heard, I thought he was dressed for the occasion before the game ! I wonder whether the fact Chelsea may be looking for a new manager shortly had any bearing on the decision today Anyway assuming we get Klopp or Ancelotti and it doesn't turn into a long soap opera then better late than never. Personally I thought he could have gone at Xmas but ridiculous not to ditch him after the Stoke game but it will be nice to get back to supporting the team instead of watching the pantomime on the sidelines
  21. He cant help himself They got absolutely stuffed in the first half hour. Thats all forgotten now Arsenal have taken their foot off the gas. He's desperate for them to score the cunt
