  1. That's mental. Out of form this season yes but fuck me, you don't sell virg now surely
  2. Didier Drogba joined Chelsea at 26 I think. In the 2 years before that he'd been excellent for Marseille, theyd taken someone essentially pretty raw and transformed him, but prior to that he hadn't done anything of note. I'm not saying they're similar players, but I just think in Nunez you can see the potential, and you can see the development steps it will take to reach it. I'm sure he'll do it, and while I'm not remotely comparing he excites me in a way no player has since Suarez. Just think he's going to be a monster, with a little patience. Imagine if you'd judged him after a few friendlies or the first few games in a struggling team!
  3. Torn on this one. As we're painfully living the reality of, this team needs to be refreshed with younger, hungry, replacements. And we all thought Bobby was finished before this season's revival. Which would all point to go. But then he has been good this season, and he's never relied on pace. We've got so much squad rejuvenation needed in other areas as well. Bobby also gives you something almost no other player in world football does when he's on the pitch in terms of his position and how he plays the game. So I wouldn't be adverse to a 2 year deal if the terms weren't ridiculous. You'd think if that were the case though he'd go somewhere else for a final payday. And it will be a very say day indeed if and when that happens
  4. Thought he was excellent in his cameo last night. Was in another move where he drove through the middle and weighted a nice little through ball outside of the foot out to the right to Mo. You can see the improvement game by game
  5. Superb. Him and Elliott are looking like the ones who get us passing the ball progressively at the moment, in Thiagos absence
  6. Also people have very rose tinted glasses of sadio I think based on how absolutely world class he was for 6 months as a centre forward. He is Klopps best signing but he could go months stinking the place out but contributing with assist and goals here and there
  7. This is him at the very start in a struggling team. The ceiling for him is huge, and I like seeing his name on the teamsheet and watching him play.
  8. The system tonight definitely isn't perfect, but with no Diaz or Jota think it's the best one we have to get Nunez Salah and Bobby all on the pitch in the places we want them. All different sorts of problems for defences to deal with
  9. Approaching 135 minutes without a chance created in open play
  10. He's not the only one, but yet to see one successful press from Henderson yet. Second off the pace of everything
  11. I'd love to have him but I'm not even sure we 'need' Bellingham. We need a Gini 2.0, or even a couple of them, technically proficient strong midfielders who can protect the ball, run, move it quickly and enable our system to get firing again.
  12. Basing this opinion purely on a long, even by the athletics standard, article on our sports science and physio department and conflict behind the scenes, it seems there are alot of factors going on behind the scenes which may be contributing to our injury problems and seeming loss of identify and ability to press this season. I just hope Klopp is driven by what's happening this season and wants to stay to turn it around. There are also murmurs that he may be the key decision maker in keeping players who others have wanted to move on sooner. All conjecture but interesting if so
  13. Hate these interviews, do your talking on the pitch. I would love him to look like he could be a consistent top player at the level we require, but I don't see it unfortunately
  14. There's just no way a team that has been to cl finals 2 of the last 4 years and racking up nearly 100 points a season should be putting a side out like we did today for a competitive game.
  15. I think the squad is a pacy wide player short actually. Seeing it at the moment with no Diaz or Jota. Another fast one who can play either side would be great.
  16. By all accounts he's more of a 'manager' than a training ground coach. Michael Beale been doing very well at QPR and just turned down the wolves job apparently. The football did look very houllier/Rafa esque at both rangers and villa from what I saw. Disappointed for him and difficult to see where he goes from here as a manager. Not sure I could see him stepping down the divisions
  17. Zaha on a free ability wise would be a very good signing for someone. Reasons against would be that he's 29 now. Also is he able to press? I haven't seen enough of him to know. If he can't/won't then no point. And the third thing is he seems like a bit of a weird guy, would he fit into the team ethic?
  18. He'd have to work defensively but if you tried him on the left in a 4-3-3 with Bobby then you could get them both running in behind. Not suggesting it's the solution but it's definitely a tactical option
  19. Was fairly comfortable till the subs. Get the need to rest thiago, problem is how very average we look without him. Darwin surely didn't need a rest and was absolutely menacing.
  20. Shame Darwin has gone off, looks dangerous.
