Take it easy comrade you are gonna blow a fuse. Borini hasn't set the world on fire but given he's come into a side who are finding their feet under a new manager while some of our senior players are struggling I'm of the opinion we should give him a bit of time. With Lucas off the hook, last years signings consigned to history, Dirk gone I suppose the needy whinging dopes amongst our finest need another whipping boy. Step up Fabio.

I think the manager should have sorted Diaby out early on. Gerrard and Sahin were swapping places but neither picked up Diaby when we lost possession. We just filtered back behind the ball instead of getting closer,Giving all the time and space he needed to stroll through the game. Later when Shelvey came on he actually got closer to Diaby than either of them, at which time Gerrard had pushed up.I've been critical of Shelvey in the past but I can see him improving game after game. The worry for me is why he was not sorted out early on by asking our most advanced midfielder to drop on him. Another worry is that Arsenal didn't impress me that much and they coasted it in the end. It was poor on Sunday but when our best players perform as poorly as Gerrard, Suarez and Reina did then we are always gonna struggle.

I listened to the game on 5 live They had Keown on the commentary. He was impressed with our play and said we were unlucky to be a goal down, even praising Suarez for his work rate although said he should have put us in front. I switched off after the 2nd pen. Keown roasted Dowd for being on the half way line when he gave the 2nd pen against Skrtl An interesting comment after half time was that we had a 88% pass completion rate in the 1st half, more than any side had all last season. I'm gonna call this a freak result and pray that I'm right. We'll soon find out

I reckon old purple is concerned weetabix heads best days are behind him. He reminds me of Norman Whiteside in that he was fully formed at 17 yrs old and on the slide at 25.
