Yeah, it's weird. They highlighted Hummels flying in and missing a tackle for the goal, but he did so because no one was screening the defence and he doesn't want three players running at him and Boateng if someone turns. He gambled and lost, but it was a knock-on effect from that midfield.

Yeah, I've been thinking about this, and that makes sense. He's not an athletic striker who runs onto the ball and strikes it with gusto, he usually takes a touch even when it seems impossible to do so. His whole game is about balance and body shape in tight areas, so from 12 yards it's a different skill. You'd still expect him to have a better record, but it's interesting how many instinctive players fluff penalties when given the time to think about it. There's no flow to the run up of a penalty like there is when weaving through a defence.

I really enjoyed S1 of The Bridge, but by the end of S2 it felt like they were just following a formula, where it'd always end on a downer and they wouldn't wrap everything up properly, no matter what happened in the preceeding episodes. I never bothered with S3.

Suarez has played through a couple too many injuries in the past year or so, and it's catching up to him. Add in the loss of Neymar from Barca having a knock on effect on his own form and I'd be surprised if he's still in their starting XI this time next year. You can see why they were so desperate to bring in Griezman, as Dembele isn't the finished article yet either.

Shop around. I've just picked up a pair of these from some kind of discount shop I'd never heard of for £25. I needed some flatter shoes for cycling, and I don't really care if they fall off my feet after a few months at that price.

Could easily have been my list that Section. It's hard to tell where laziness starts and procrastination ends. My problem is I start things and then drift off. They never become part of a routine I can stick to. I started learning Italian, got all impressed that I could pick out words I recognised in episodes of Inspector Montalbano, but then thought "Who am I going to talk Italian to?" and never went back to it. I bought a cigarbox guitar because I like old blues and it's only got three strings, so is supposed to be dead easy to pick up. It's gathering dust because I never find the right time to pick it up. Plus, this time of year I have the windows open, and I don't want people to hear me plucking strings in a tuneless manner like a child. I've at least got a provisional licence as part of my plan to learn to drive this year. But again, I'm thinking "It's fucking hot, I don't want to be stuck in a car with a sweaty stranger, I'll wait for Autumn". I will, however, learn a martial art as soon as my evenings that they hold the classes are free. Probably.
