Sid Lowe mentioned on the Football Weekly podcast last week that Messi has scored two goals in each of his last 7 starts. So this would make it 8 in a row. Mental.

I'm guessing at 5 but is it... Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. The Sum Of All Fears?

In that case, I'd like to throw this very underappreciated young man in as well... The last song with the loop pedal is one of the best things I've ever seen live.

Best goals seen in a Merseyside Derby

Pretty sure that was a 3-2 win in April 1999. I've always thought this was a brilliant goal to hit it whilst facing away from goal: -
She sang a fair bit on both of Damien Rice's albums, I think they used to be an item. This is by far my favourite of theirs, two sides of a relationship that has disintegrated. Cheery stuff.

I had a dream last night that we got beaten 2-1 at Anfield by Aston Villa. They went 2-0 up in the first half then Suarez scored a goal similar to the one against Hearts in the second. It might be more prophetic than weird, though.

Just watched We Need To Talk About Kevin for the second time and I think it's a brilliant film. An examination of a mother's relationship with her son, who goes on to commit a terrible act. Raises many questions about her responsibility, nature vs nurture, all sorts. And cinematically I think there's some wonderful shots, symbolism, foreshadowing, as well as great performances by Tilda Swinton and the three kids who play Kevin at various ages. 9/10

I actually think Skylar will be Walt's undoing in the end, somehow. And at the start of the first episode of the season... Warning! The following content is NOT WORK SAFE. Click the Show button to reveal. ...Walt was taking his medicine again, suggesting the cancer has returned?

I can see it happening in the way that Jhinge Maccha alludes to on the previous page. As much of a bitch as she is, I think the show would be better for her continued existence. The more balls that Walt has to juggle, the more compelling it is.

I'm ashamed to say that I was a bit concerned after the first episode of season 5, and the whole magnet business, that the show might become a little over the top and comical. How wrong I was. Fuuuuckk, what an episode that was!

Was it coincidence that the BeeGees started playing as Fiji came out?

I don't think there will ever be a more perfect comedy made than Arrested Development. Unspeakably good. So that gets my vote. I enjoyed Community a lot too.

Lewis said: "My father was born in England and was a Everton fan since the age of five. He immediately infected me with the Everton virus! Since then I have been a Everton fan and have always followed their games." The 'Everton virus'... at least he's self aware.

I have a friend who manages a book shop. He told me that a couple of weeks ago a middle aged gentleman came in and wanted to return the second and third book of the series. His wife had read the first book and, despite finding it a little blue, thought that she would perservere until she came to a passage in the second book which detailed an act that "wasn't humanly possible" and it made her physically sick. Brilliant.

ITV were showing a clip of this press conference from Trappatoni from 1998: ...and you could hear Carra say in the background "That's worse than Rafa's rant." Probably jokey, but a bit unnecessary.
