    You only need to look at the money they’ve spent with the Boston Red Sox to know they aren’t shy of dipping their hands into their pockets. And let’s be honest, if Kenny hadn’t blown all the money he had and he’d actually bought some decent players nobody would be complaining. The owners have been a godsend, and haven’t done anything wrong as of yet.

    I’m convinced Suarez will be kicked out of the Premier League and when he leaves to save his own legs, it’ll be all whiskey noses fault. Refs aren’t giving him anything anymore; defenders are allowed to kick lumps out of him just because that old cunt opened his mouth accusing him of diving.     I wouldn’t of started Carroll myself but I’m not a European and League winning manager, I’ll wait until the final whistle and final score to make my judgement on the starting line-up. Surely if Carroll scores a hat-trick here nobody can say anything negative about his selection?

    Djimi Troare, no team will ever win the Champions League with a worse left back. I met him once in the Trafford Centre, I was about 12 or 13 I asked for his autograph but he didn’t have a pen so he bought me a slush instead. Good shout with Cheyrou as well, I had him on the back of one of our white away tops once. I'll try and dig it out.

    After reading this I was interested in what Newcastle fans would think so I went and had a look on one of the forums. They have a thread about buying him back for £20 million. It’s about 90% of the people who have commented who said they’d take him back in a heartbeat with the other 10% says he’s a Judas and can rot in the hole he dug himself. Interesting comment was this… “From what I've seen from him at Liverpool he just doesn't look as mobile as he was for us. He is unplayable in the air and has a powerful strike, but the reason they were prepared to pay 35 mil was because he could run around the park like someone who is 8 inches shorter. Without the mobility he is just another target man, one which is great in the air but lacks a consistent first touch and passing ability.” What do you think has changed him the player this fan has described because I’ve not seen any real mobility from him nor have I seen him turn on the ball.

    Gerrard isn’t half the player he used to be. Don’t get me wrong he still walks into our side, and we do miss him but that doesn’t change the fact he isn’t what he once was.

    It isn’t like saying that at all, it’s like saying I don’t think we miss Gerrard as much as we will miss Lucas. What you said makes no fucking sense, not only because it’s stupid but because Downing can’t fucking cross.

    I think Henderson and Adam are more than capable of doing Gerrard job to not really miss him that much, or without Gerrard we can play different systems to make up for him not being there. There is nobody in this squad, or probably in the whole premier league who can do Lucas’ job nearly half as good as him.

    6 months? I really hope not; it's show how far the lad has come, at times under Rafa people would have been happy for him to be injured to get him out the side but now he's the key man in midfield. I'd rather have a fit Lucas than a fit Gerrard.

    He has pace, but not the best acceleration. His long legs means he has long strides.

    I’d agree with that, and that Maxi stat is pretty amazing considering. My logic behind it is, he seems to get in Enrique’s way when playing down the left, so if he was on the right it would be natural for him to cut inside, taking the full back with him and leaving plenty of room for Johnson to run into. I’d be happy with either on the right as long as Bellamy is playing on the left and not Downing. Bellamy gets an extra 10-20% attacking wise out of Enrique as well.

    We’ve gone in 1-0 up at half time a few times this season (Norwich, Sunderalnd), and then we’ve come out in the second half and sat back. If Chelsea where 0-1 down at half time they’d of come out all guns blazing trying to get a quick equalizer a bit like last week in the league. With it being 0-0 we had nothing to sit back on and carried on playing the same way we did in the first which meant we pretty much dominated every minute of the game, other than the last 10.
