  1. I would say if people want evidence - Carragher got a 2 year contract hours before the club was sold Carragher publicly complained about playing right-back under Benitez but does it without utterance under Hodgson. He has been a great player for us, that is all. Sadly, only our 4th best centre half now and not as good at right-back as Kelly. He WILL be watching Everton when he retires, not Liverpool. He would be playing for Tranmere now if he wasn't local and if Rafa had stayed. He is undroppable under Hodgson. True story.
  2. Hicks has thrown in the towel LFC owners to pursue $1.6 billion from "epic swindle" Hicks and Gillett withdraw TRO blocking sale of Liverpool Football Club. Action prevents RBS from needlessly putting Club into administration. RBS rejected owners' pledge to pay off all debts by October 15. Attorneys say ludicrous, self-serving and illegal behavior from directors and outsiders to hinder Club for years. "It's an extraordinary swindle and it will result in exactly the wrong thing for the Club and the fans." Those were the words used by attorneys representing Liverpool Football Club owners this morning when they announced they would apply all of their legal energies toward securing at least $1.6 billion in damages they expect will result from the proposed illegal sale of the Liverpool Football Club. Attorneys also stated that protracted litigation concerning the Liverpool transaction will now cause even more uncertainty for the LFC. "This outcome not only devalues the Club but it also will result in long-term uncertainty for the fans, players and everyone who loves this sport because all legal recourses will be pursued," said Steve Stodghill, the Texas attorney representing the Liverpool owners. "Mr. Hicks and Mr. Gillett pledged to pay the debt to RBS so that the Club could avoid administration that was threatened by RBS. That offer was rejected. It is a tragic development that others will claim as a victory. This means it won't be resolved the way it should be resolved. My clients worked tirelessly to resolve these issues but RBS would not listen to any reasonable solution and the Directors acted selfishly and illegally." Stodghill said the owners have no choice but to pursue every legal avenue possible, and they will. "Mr. Hicks and Mr. Gillett wanted to position this club for the future, but others have a different agenda," said Stodghill. "In truth, there is nothing positive from these events for Liverpool Football. That is exactly the opposite of what my clients wanted to achieve. "
  3. Errrrrr G is, but H might be borrowing this money from Mill which means he is still around. Plus even if Mill have the biggest holding with Hicks on a smaller share...... their financial model will be the same....in fact worse. Can yo imagine what interest & fees they will charge US for this.
  4. Also.......cancel your Sky Subscription telling them why. They will start to report it and it WILL lead to bad PR. The TV deal is their major cash cow.
  5. Babel is the most infuriating as he should be a player. I don't know anybody (except liars) who didn't think he was a boss signing at the time, particularly as Arsenal were down to sign him for months. I particularly like all those saying "no, never" etc. My problem is this..... if Rafa was so bad, and the reason we went backwards last year, how come we are going further backwards, more quickly this season? You see, if an organisation has a problem, they remove the cause and the problem recedes. Our problems are still there and getting worse. So either a) we didn't remove the problem; or b) we didn't remove the problem. Fuck sake, its not difficult to see what the real problem was/is and continues to be.
  6. No it isn't. The club is a separate legal entity. No relevance is given to shareholders and who they are. One huge thing against G&H is that the last accounts doubted the future of the business. This secures the future which is very important. People lose on investments all the time. The reason rich people invest in business is the higher returns possible over keeping cash in the bank. Returns are higher as they carry more risk. Not getting a return you want is the chance you take.
  7. All the knobheads still convinced we aren't being taken for idiots by the club? Laughable. Another profitable transfer window. 4th in a row. Wake up FFS!
  8. If you doubt asset stripping, Sky just said Lucas wants out & fulham negotiating for Dalle Valle & Kacaniklic !
  9. Home growns will be - Gerrard, Carragher, Johnson, Cole, Jones, Shelvey, Kelly, AN Other (Konchesky?) or have I missed somebody? Insua would count and there is also Spearing, Ecclestone & Amoo if they make the 25
  10. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. If Kuyt goes too, the money goes to RBS not to Roy. If you really think LFC will sell Mascherano & Kuyt for £35m and then pass that on to Roy to buy, you are insane, utterly utterly stupid. Do your self a favour and look at out transfer activity. The club is reducing the wage bill fast and taking transfer fees to offset debts eg Benayoun fee pays off Rafa. If both are sold, Roy will get £3.5m if he is lucky not £35m. And please don't fall for the "transfer account is separate" bollocks that Broughton & Purslow tell you. Judas H Priest. We're being taken for dickheads by the club and its easy to see why.
  11. When all else fails, a bare faced refusal to look stark facts in the face will always pull you through.
  12. Whats going on is Broughton sat and told us on the day he unveiled Hodgson that the sale was at the point he expected it to be and that he expected it to happen by the end of August, and has subsequently fucked off back to London and said nowt. The more the likes of you give the charlatans at our top table the benefit of the doubt the greater the height they shit down on us from. There is no sale going through We are selling players and replacing with free transfers & journeymen But hey, lets give them the benefit of the doubt eh?
  13. There is a massive point you are missing (or ignoring). All the other teams we had who took a mugging - you knew we could fix it. If something was shite we could change it, get rid and get better in. We can't do that now. Any player, ANY FECKING PLAYER, we lose now, will be replaced by lesser quality. Some don't like Lucas....if we got rid, we would be getting Jonathon Greening.
  14. Love the posts saying we should buy this or that player. You do know that Mascherano will go late in the window and the club will sell you that as the reason why we didn't replace him - no time or value on the last day of the window. Then the lemmings will believe Hick's Sky interview saying it will be spent in January when really its paying more interest to RBS. Listing players - get real, we are buying nobody of note or quality.
  15. It was £17.1m based on exchange rate at the time which has improved in our favour and its paid on the drip. 20m Euros not £s £2m of that based on appearances and us qualifying for champions league Means he cost £15.1m not £20m plus the deal with Juve sees them buying him if they want to for 15m euros. So, how is that almost as bad as the loan repayments?
  16. So anything less than League & European Champions or you're sacked? Terrific, new Manager every Summer then.
  17. Obviously you're right. 2007 Champions League Final was a huge let-down, we should have won it, so thats a complete failure. Sigh.
  18. See what you've just said there..............its 100% spot on. Great post.
  19. Really? I thought he did well for 1-2 seasons then moved on before anything ever went wrong... 1986–1989 Real Madrid Castilla Youth B 1989–1991 Real Madrid Youth B 1991–1993 Real Madrid U-19s 1993–1995 Real Madrid B 1995–1996 Real Valladolid 1996–1997 Osasuna 1997–1999 Extremadura 2000–2001 Tenerife 2001–2004 Valencia 2004–2010 Liverpool 2010– Internazionale In which of those jobs did people lose confidence in him (other than here of course) ?
  20. Really? Always loved people saying that. So if Roy gets us up into the top 4 and a cup win, I expect you to be saying "Nothing to shout about, it was Rafa's team he did it with". Then again you won't. What else do you want though? Trouble with the position at this club is that you also expect the Manager to be an Accountant, Media expert, PR Guru and consultant. I'd take the tactical coach above all else. So you've fallen for the "he lost the dressing room" line. He didn't, but don't let any facts cloud your judgement. "He lost the dressing room" - David Maddock said it in the Daily Mirror so it must be true.
  21. Utter turgid outright bollocks from first word to last. The bit in bold - feck me. No no and thrice no. You think about the consequences of the decision first & foremost. If you don't you get a Moores/Parry decision. See how that worked out ? If you ever feel the need to change your Manager, you look at what you can replace him with then make the change. You are Christian Purslow. Do I win £5?
