  1. the handshakegate just distracted from the fact that we were utterly disappointing. Dalglish should either change his mindset/tactics, or just leave. Mourinho would be available in the summer, and at least he gets results. Summer of 2011 was a wasteful one. 20 million for a clueless donkey and 35 million for useless pony wannabe. Add into that 7 million for a slow, lethargic hippo lookalike and 13 million for unproven material, and it's just poor judgement, by Dalglish and Comoli. Tactics were a joke too, why sit back when we could attack? Oh wait, it was because their defence had Baresi-Maldini-Matthus in it, so we wouldnt be able to break it down. Cowardly tactics, Loser mentality, Disgusting performance. Dalgish needs to change things or get out, and hav a better manager come in.
  2. Happy that we won, even tho it was pretty much inevitable, given it's at Anfield, and Evra being karma's bitch. After the initial happiness tho, we need to refocus, the next game at Wolves is even more important than the past two games. If we win it, it will provide momentum, and prove that the recent two games wern't just a one off, also will provide correction to our "inable to break down small teams" weakness. If we lose/draw, than we'll just be back where we started without making progress.
  3. Not that I aint happy that we got tru, but it's like seeing your best friend, who in the past, gets laid with loads of beautiful chicks on a weekly basis, now lost all confidence, and after getting a fat drunk chick's number, celebrating with a banquet with it. It's just sighh. Anyway, on the more sunshine part, the win would be good for morale for the squad. And this would be good in helping for the upcoming buttfucking of man utd on saturday. I believe in small achievements helping create bigger achievements, and so this tiny achievement would be helpful in team progress, starting with beating man utd on saturday, in a cup that is actually slightly more meaningful. Having said that tho, a more important achievement than beating man utd on saturday would be to focus on beating the remaining small teams in the league, because that's where we are weakest at. Take one game at a time tho.
  4. Kinda sad how the team is so happy goin to wembley. To play in a carling cup final. against cardiff. Club like us should be aiming to win the champions league, not some non meaningful trophy. A few things we still havent fixed: Our goals to chance ratio...we still have problems converting our chances..scoring like 1 out of 6, instead of 5 out of 6 Our squad problem..in the midst of all the happiness, hopefully we dont forget bringing in a decent quality striker/midfielder before the jan window shuts.. Its pretty much a given that we would win a big game..we always do..its the small games that we always fail to win, and so we should focus on winning at least 5 consecutive small games before we are even a little satisfied..
  5. pathetic from the team, pathetic decision regarding Suarez from the club..Disappointed in the club
  6. Is it just me or is Suarez better than Messi? His performance against Man Utd was better than Messi..
  7. Who let Suarez out Who who who who Who let Suarez out Who who who who To the tune of who let the dogs out
  8. Tbh, after his comments..I wonder whether all along he was just putting an act on with good pr..or whether he was genuine at first but something changed along the line.. Here's an interview from late 2008 Fernando Torres - Q & A - Interviews - FourFourTwo
  9. Prob means like when your first love tells you that she's been cheatin on you with your worst enemy, and is goin to marry him, and you tell her to fuck off..and she feels verbally intimidated..
  10. Well feel kinda disappointed, but no player is bigger than the club. And taking into account his injuries and all, GBP50 mil could be used to rebuild the squad.
  11. Pity, he was a good prospect. One of the players Benitez ruined with his crappy man management skills.
  12. Given how crap our academy was in comparison with others (i.e. Barca), it wouldnt need much effort improving it. With all the destruction Benitez did towards the club, he had to be good for sth.
  13. At last we can put those two failures Benitez and Hodgson behind us. One thing Kenny would be sure to do is to unite the club, players and supporters wise, which would be good. On a sidenote tho, hope the young(attacking) players can fulfill their potential under Kenny, i.e. Babel, Pacheco, Sususo etc..
  14. Did a scouting report on two of United main men: Berbatov: Right footed, shoots or place headers from right to left. Likes to hangs back in space, when ball is being pulled back from byline, or to pick up the leftovers. Danger from corners. Stationary when ball comes from the wings .Runs through the middle when Man Utd attacking through centre. Likes to use body to shield ball from defender. Passes ball to channels when dribbling down the middle. Rarely goes solo, will look to pass to incoming runs of teammates. When dribbling to the side, will aim to cut the ball back across the goalline. Important for defender to get body between him and the pass/cross from the wing. Don’t mark him but intercept the pass/cross to him. Check his runs through the middle. Mark the space he’s attacking when running through the middle. Nani: Right footed. Primaly right winger. Inswinging crosser. Pacy. Danger with crosses. Has good partnership with Berbatov. When dribbling through the middle, tries through balls to runner through the middle. When at left sideline, will look to dribble towards own goal and put inswinging cross. When at right sideline, will cross to middle, or dribble to byline and pull ball back. Rarely cuts inside. Shoots ball across keeper to far side. Likes to try long shots. On rare occasions cut inside, only to shoot. Makes runs from wings to middle. Important for defender to force ball onto weaker left foot by marking his right side, hence decreasing the possibility of crossing. When he’s dribbling through middle, block out passing channels to his teammate runs. When United attacking through the middle, check his runs from wide to centre.
  15. United will play their strongest side I reckon Kusack Neville Ferdinand Vidic Evra Nani Fletcher Scholes Giggs Rooney/Javier Hernandez Berbatov With Owen to come on late Big game players for us: Torres, Gerrard, Lucas, Kuyt Big game players for Utd: Berbatov, Scholes Big game flops for Utd: Rooney, Vidic Personally I feel that Agger should be able to contain Berbatov. Berbatov's strength is his physicallaty and his brain, and Agger has equal physicallity and football brain. Dont hav much confidence in Skrtel. As for midfield, I reckon Lucas and Meirieles are better then Scholes and Fletcher. They're good at keeping the ball. Our wings would be abit of a weakness I think, as Kuyt vs Evra and Maxi vs Neville aint exactly good. Up front Torres and Gerrard vs Vidic and Ferdinand should be good. Park not playing for them is good thing, as he seems to perform in the big games.
  16. Ive read stuff like Torres havin lost his pace due to injuries. Personally I feel that aint accurate. At the Chelsea match he had the ability to sprint past Terry and score. And for Man Utd match Vidic will be playin which would give him another boost. I dont recall him being injured much this season. And even if he's lost like a second of pace, he's still the most lethal striker around, and makes good runs. Stuff like killer instincts, skill, touch, and off the ball movement, doesnt just go away. I feel that the only reason he seemed slower this season to some is coz he wasnt bothered. Which will prob change tomorrow.
  17. A few positives and advantage over them. Whiskeyface wont have time to change his gameplan. His preperation will be completely based on Hodgson's defensive tactics, whereas Kenny likes to play attacking(I think). The supporters. 9000 fans will sound like 90000. A new start. The players will be eager to impress and prove themselves under a new manager, and what better then a man utd vs liverpool game. Its natural in every line of job to be real eager on first day of work(or first day under a new regime). Mental. Would be a huge mental boost to the players. Every player will give their all, and vitally, Gerrard and Torres. Which leads to.. Performance. Ppl say that our squad is poor, but thats inaccurate. Whats accurate is that they have been performing well below their ability. When they perform to their max potential, our team aint that bad as ppl make out. Title winning, not really. Top four, yeah.
  18. I think ppl underestimate the value of closeness and mentality. I rmb Sneijder saying he would die for Mourinho, and that was his best season in perfomance. Under Benitez whom he wasnt close with tho, his performances dropped drastically. Footballing ability doesnt just drop in two months. Kenny might not be able to change the talent of the players he has, but there'll be no doubt he'll be able to motivate the players, unite the players as a team, and make them play to their full potential. And thats just for the Man Utd game, he'll be able to do even more after that. Tactics and such.
