  1. Pretty much how I see it. We're in a slump right now and its a long season. I dont think theres too many people talking about sacking him. We are all thinking the same thing. He probably needs to get a bit more pragmatic to some degree and probably come the transfer windows a bit more realistic. A good 4/5 of our starting lineup could do with a replacing and we simply have to sign a defender or two in January or this season is a write off.
  2. Far too early to know how things will turn out for AOC. he wouldnt be the first player to have their careers turn around under a different manager. Still think it was fucking borderline criminal to spunk money on him rather than a CB though.
  3. As far as big clubs go maybe yeah but I reckon people will be surprised what he achieves. If Ashley gives him a few bob to spend next summer could see him get Newcastle into a Europa spot no problem.
  4. Jimmy youd have to be naive in the extreme to think Belgium would ever sanction him. Belgium are through, they dont need him. I doubt they give two fucks at this point and more than happy to give games to others.
  5. Thought the same thing. Belgium already through arnt they. Fucking joke.
  6. Thing is though its not just about that. We're effectively going into most seasons with one hand tied behind our backs because of insane transfer policies. To stand any chance of doing something in this league you simply have to get your recruitment right and we've been fairly poor in that department. Case in point not buying a defender but spending a wedge on AOC. We've not been putting our best foot forward for years now. Whether Klopp is at fault for that I dont know but its been going on a long time now.
  7. Isnt that a bit of a sweeping generalization. Next you'll be calling them all rapists and benefit cheats
  8. The Mancs will be an interesting one. Win it and it could easily kick start our season. Lose and we'll be a very precarious position with Spurs on the horizon. We simply have to get a win out of one of those games.
  9. Spurs despite being inconsistent thus far have a shit hot striker and a better defence than us. I think when all is said and done I genuinely agree with Klopp when he says we arent far away from being a top team. We genuinely have a top 4 attack who at the moment are just struggling which even the best do from time to time. I dont blame them as everytime we get ahead the defence undoes their hard work. Id say morale is taking a hammering because of that.
  10. Its always the way. Few wins and we are right back up there. But as true as that is. If you dont get out of a slump fast enough you'll just never make up the ground. A lot hangs on next few games after the break.
  11. This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by liverpoolsno9. View it anyway? Bliss
  12. Replacing one of Henderson or Gini would make an immeasurable improvement to our midfield. Neither do enough with or without the ball.
  13. Should have just signed a fucking centre half. Probably a proper CM too and not a failed wing back who wants to play at CM. That fucking simple.
  14. Same shit as always also on here, pretty much anybody whos not a complete waste of skin and bone can see where this is going but we'll still have people giving it the comical ali routine on here. Theres just a simple fact people need to get, we needed better summer transfer dealings. Because we didn't do well enough we will struggle this season. It was said 7 games ago and it being said now. It is just reality at this point. There was a time I would have blamed FSG for it but after spunking 35 million on AOC I'm just not sure its their fault anymore.
  15. You have to deal in realism. Yes we dont have the same resources as others. But also its reality we've spunked far too much money away. Case in point AOC. 35 million on him! And i dont dislike him. He just wasnt needed. Reality is we need to stop shipping goals and scoring goals and stop with the excuses.
  16. Its just the continuing trend of seeing us needing to outscore the opposition. Which simply isnt going to happen every game. You need to be able to keep clean sheets unless you have an absolutely world class forward because you will have nights like tonight. Same as the Burnley game. People will blame the forwards and rightly so but unless we stop shipping goals we'll go nowhere this season.
  17. Gomez has potential but I'd rather see him get games at CB than right back.
  18. People have been talking absolute nonsense about fixtures for years. You play everybody twice home and away and all that bollox. Momentum is fucking massive in football. An easy start can get you rolling in form and confidence.
  19. 100% agree. Hes been shit for ages. Today thought he looked a lot better. Not just because of the goal. The amount of times he won the ball in the opposition half was impressive
  20. I've been convinced for years now refs are "encouraged" to help certain results happen. People laugh about it happening on the continent but English people arent immune to it either. Just better at hiding it.
  21. Thank fuck for that. We made hard going of it but overall was an improvement. Thought the midfield wasnt its best but Henderson for the first time in a while looked to influence the game. Hes been bang average at times but today I thought he stepped it up a bit. Offensively we were as always very dangerous without really getting out of second gear. With Mane back we'll blow a lot of teams away. Defensively still shambolic. Gomez was exposed over and over again. Hes young, learning and coming back from injury so cant fault him too much. Lovren and Matip at times were all over the shop at times. Not much anybody didnt already know. The attack will need to bail us out continously this year. No other way about it.
