  1. Pure assault that, and probably Konate out for 10 months. These refs have ruined the game.
  2. If we get a penalty tonight I wonder if we’ll pass it back to Kelleher.
  3. We didnt even bother to run back to defend there. Can’t recall seeing anything like this before.
  4. We’re sleepwalking here. Even Sheffield United can take advantage of this. Yes, here we go.
  5. Those things arent mutually exclusive. I fully agree Nunez deserves a lot of credit for that goal. But to say it’s not a gift by their goalkeeper is wide off the mark.
  6. Well that was a bit painful to watch, thank god they gifted us the goal. That said it would probably have looked different if we hadnt scored, as we seemed to take our foot off the pedal as soon as we scored. We seem to have entered energy saving mode, and that’s an extremely dangerous strategy at 1-0. Mac Allister has been out best player, closely followed by Diaz imo. Salah and Bradley also decent. As a team however we’ve been poor, and are lucky to be ahead against the worst team in the league. Hopefully Klopp can wake them up at half time, if not we may actually manage to waste points here.
  7. Watching Arsenal here, and dont think I’ve ever seen a player dictate the refs the way Odegaard is doing. He just literally instructed the ref to give a free kick, and the latter obliged. He moans, whines, shouts and waves his arms constantly, and probably runs two extra miles per match only to make sure he’s in the ear of the ref at all times. When he’s really on form he throws himself to the ground screaming and shouting like a little child. He’s worse than Fernandez imo, and still immune to receive yellow cards. Unreal.
  8. Completely different set of rules for this game when it comes to yellow cards. Totally as expected.
  9. Odegaard not quite at his normal standard today. There have been at least a couple of occasions where he’s failed to get close enough to the ref to berate him.
  10. World class perfomance today, and vital to the win.
  11. Three points, all that matters of course, what a vital win that was!! Brighton seem to know how to play against us, and create plenty every single time. They’re decent om the break, good at set pieces and also very good at using the space behind our DM. That said they were far from good defensively, and we had enough opportunities to score at least four or five today. Salah alone should hava had at least three or four, we had plenty of chances and with better decision making we would’ve had even more. A bkt like the cup match at Old Trafford actually, we had plenty of opportunities to kill them off, but failed to do it. Bradley brilliant again, what a player he is. Same for Quansah, what a player! Apart from those two I thought Diaz was very good, and of course Salah again decisive, even if his overall performance was really poor. Well, goals matter, and he played a vital part in both today. Tough competition for our best player today, as Endo was again excellent and deserved it, but I have to give it to Mac Allister who’s simply world class. Is there a better midfielder in the PL at the moment? Tricky match, three points, great feeling!
  12. Would that help Salah put the ball in back of the net? He should have had at least two in the first half, dont really see how changing positions would make us any better. That said I’m all for a dynamic setup in attack, to make us less predictable, but when we’ve created plenty I dont see the need to change anything today.
  13. Not a bad half that, apart from the final ball anf finishing. Brighton clearly now how to play us, and are gonna create chances. Not unlikely that they’ll score another. We need to stop giving it away under no pressure, Salah again the worst of the lot in that department, and this time it also lead to a goal for them. That said we should have scored at least one or two more. Salah alone has wasted at least three or four good opportunities, and we’ve had others as well. Good news is we create plenty, we’ve been pretty good at getting in behind them. Keep that up and we could and should score at least s couple in the second half. Bradley again has been brilliant, our best player so far. Also Mac Allister and Diaz have been very good, and Endo with some vital interceptions. Quality in the final third will be key for the second half, come on you mighty Reds!!
  14. Fully agree with this. Said weeks ago that putting the structure and organization together, from the top, and getting the right people in those positions, is probably more important than who the next manager is. Which doesnt mean that the latter isn’t important.
  15. A player that wanted to go to that club and didnt bother to do his best while he was still here. Then returns as a ‘legend’? It’s a pisstake, and he can fuck off.
  16. As you say it’s a disgrace. The total amount of games is killing the game, and this season it’s significantly reducing our chances of winning the league. The only thing the club can do is start fucking some of the competitions off completely, and as far as possible retain players with ‘knocks’ for the international breaks. The players can say no to being selected for their coutries, which I suspect we’ll see far more of in the coming years.
  17. If that’s what you label bollocks I pretty much agree.
