  1. I think that challenge was actually worse than the Pickford one. The Pickford one was extremely dangerous, and should probably have been punished with more than a three game ban. Still I think it was Pickford’s lack of control and timing that caused it, more than it was an intention to cause injury. The Richarlison one however was fully intentional, he went in with his full body weight and a straight leg with the intention to hurt his opponent. 6 games for Pickford and 15-20 games for Richarlison would perhaps have been about right. You very rarely see things like the Richarlison one these days, and there should be no room for it. Of course the FA will be happy to give the same punishment for that as they do for the Martial one against Spurs which didnt have the potential to hurt a fly.
  2. He’s been a big disappointment. I think he’s technically quite good, and his movement and workrate is very good. Also got a decent shot in him. But so far seems to just lack that last bit of speed, both in head and feet. And is far too easlily brushed off the ball, I think Bissouma just went and picked it off him about 5 times yesterday. A very gifted and hard working footballer obviously, but right now I dont see him having what it takes to make it at the very highest level. Hope he proves me wrong.
  3. Are you saying us top experts on here dont matter?
  4. Lovren should be a better player by any kind of stats or reputation. But I think Phillips has been far better in the games he’s played this season than Lovren was in his last couple of seasons for us.
  5. The intensity and movement of Leeds is too much for Everton. Leeds to win this 7 times out of 10.
  6. He’s done well. Obviously quite limited player at this level, but good in the air and not too bad on the ball. Player of his quality should be 5th or 6th choice at a club like this, and that taken into account we should be very happy with him.
  7. Tend to agree we should bin the CL this season. At least maybe the Ajax game, as that is a game we may loose whatever lineup we field. Resting all regular first team players against Ajax and beat Midtjylland to go through may be an option.
  8. Utter shit first half and fairly poor second. A point was probably the maximum we deserved. With our style of play it’s pure logic that the ridiculous fixture list hits us hard, intensity is completely gone. And the rotation Klopp is doing is of course an absolute necessity, we would have even more injuries if he didnt.
  9. Good post, those are clear reasons why we’re not performing at the moment.
  10. You didnt notice him putting Jota through brilliantly in the second minute? And not the pass for the disallowed goal? He really is invisible I guess then.
  11. Well that was a very poor half, very happy to be level at half time. They have far more energy and we’re really struggling at times. Alisson, Fabinho and Wijnaldum have saved us from being completely torn apart. Decent from those three in a very very weak performance so far.
  12. Good decision to sell Lovren, poor decision not to bring in a new CB.
  13. Matter of time before we see the first goal here. Our defence look very shaky, and we should also be capable of scoring any time.
  14. Gini is a key player, and we should be able to get a new contract in place for him. But a new contract obviously isn’t a reward for anything in the past, it’s a reflection on how we rate his value in the prosent and not least future. If it was about rewarding the past we should start by giving Kenny a new contract.
  15. Agree with your point in general, but Trent was better when he first came in and also progressed far quicker than Neco has done so far.
  16. Not saying I agree or disagree with you. But one thing is certain, if Klopp had played all the kids and we lost there would’ve been outrage on here cause we didnt put a few of the first teamers in the mix to secure the points.
  17. Stats never tell the full story, and the rest of the team definately plays a part in those figures. But loosing possession 27 times is just shocking, and no circumstances can provide an excuse for that. Clearly not ready for this level.
  18. They did target that side, and for a reason. Also some of Matips passes to him being extremely slow didnt help. The ball travelling at walking pace makes it a lot easier for the opposition to close you down.
  19. Anyway I guess it was only fitting that a short Argentine number 10 was man of the match at Anfield on this day. Rest in piece Diego, you crazy genious.
