With our upcoming fixtures I think it's imperative we get points on the board today so I can see why there is no place for Sterling. No Spearing either so that's a positive. Only 2 new faces in a first 11 that finished 8th last year so I don't think we will see anything new today unless Borini or Allen shine. Looking forward to this but no idea as to what the score might be so will go for a shit mask draw..

To be fair Paul, why should someone of that ilk hang about the club with the nonsense that has gone on the last few years? FSG and their youth development my hole. We were lucky to get him in the first place and it looks like more broken promises have lead to yet another departure, in the one area FSG have been banging on about since they arrived. League and cup double in Greece and comes in to oversee our academy. No doubt another arrival from the mighty Swansea in the pipeline. And for the halfwits that aren't bothered by his departure, you can go and fuck off too. If the days of the big spenders are over and living within our means by bringing players through the system are what are ahead of us we need as many quality people involved in the development of our already light years behind academy not walking around like cock of the fuckin walk lying to all and sundry. Hamann for me, beast of a player. I was distraught when he didn't start that night but delighted to see him come on at halftime. Loved his penalty too that night so that crazy German fucker for me.

I'd prefer to keep Agger and I'm indifferent as to whether Carroll stays but if we got £40m for the both of them (£25m Agger/£15m for Carroll) it will be interesting to see if that is all reinvested in the squad.

Openly admitting their admiration for Arsenals' "football model" ie.buying young, winning nothing, selling players in their prime for big fees is now coming into effect. The only thing these thick cunts don't realise is unless you have a Barca style conveyor belt of good young players coming through or are spending already large fees on youth like united or Arsenal, you haven't a fucking chance. I know a lot can happen before the transfer window shuts but these guys and their puppet manager are fuckin clueless.. Our squad will be worth about 30 quid by the time these horrible fuckwits are done with it.

I remember the outpouring of despair when Mascherano and Lucas were partnered in midfield over a sustained period but now Lucas guiding a piss poor Spearing is ok? I just don't see what other people see I suppose..
