  1. Hope not. I'm taking the kids to see Aus vs China on Thursday night. Although a penalty shootout would be exciting, I think it will be too late for the little ones if it goes into extra time.
  2. Seems he won Belgium's best goalkeeper award last year too. http://www.goal.com/en-au/news/4024/aussies-abroad/2014/05/14/4817780/mat-ryan-voted-belgiums-best-goalkeeper *Not saying he'll make it here, but he'd be a much better backup than Brad Jones.
  3. And he did spend most of his career playing against pub league players in Australia and did ok. However, I only know him from the Mariners games a couple of years back. I thought he was really good for a young keeper but promptly forgot about him once he went abroad.
  4. He's had a great Asian cup so far too. A couple of really important saves against Oman (yes.. i know it's just Oman) to get help Australia through. That save at the start of the game was phenomenal.
  5. It was an awesome experience being at the MCG with my dad, uncle and son. Would be really handy being in Brisbane though as it's just a drive up the highway.
  6. Did the Belgian government also release their budget today and needed a distraction?
  7. Peanut butter on anything is awesome. Peanut butter by itself is awesome. I love peanut butter. Awesome.
  8. 19/10/2014 2:20 am #LFC could play in Sydney as part of 2015/16 pre-season acc to Australian newspaper Sunday Telegraph

  10. As stated above, Penfolds Grange and Henshke are two of the most prestigious reds in Australia. He'll know you paid top dollar, and the acknowledgement that goes along with it is probably what you're after. I'm a sucker for a Grant Burge red though, in fact going to the Barossa for my 10 year anniversary next week. There's quite a few highly regarded reds from this winery, and the 2010 Filsell won best shiraz in the world this year or last. I bought a half dozen just to see what the fuss was about and I've got to say it was one of the best I've ever tasted. Anyway, you'll be able to find something nice without too much trouble.
  11. He's big, but not African enough.
  12. All understandable reasons I guess. Although I reserve my right to go suicidal if we lose anyone else in the "I can't fucking believe we lost so and so" category.
  13. Mark Mc (@MarkmaccaMc) 3/07/2014 8:30 am I think twitter will officially blow up early next week with suicidal Reds going crazy..I mean proper crazy and I'm not talking Suarez#night Attention seeking* or does he know something? *I am fully aware everyone with a twitter account is attention seeking.
  14. Jesus fucking christ. I just watched The Wiggles sing a song about the Suarez incident on Australian tv world cup coverage.
  15. I had to stop myself from buying one of watches. They're pretty cool. It's for a good cause though: Proceeds benefit NYC Parks – Adam Yauch Park.
  16. I said this exact thing to my Uncle this morning. Well, reffing decisions on the whole.
  17. That was a great read, thanks. I like how quickly they changed their tune when he started banging them in straight away... and then they locked the thread as they were clearly wrong.
  18. I'm a massive Hicks fan. If you watch/listen any Kinnison though, you can hear where Bill got some of his chops from. They were coming up around the same time, however you can hear the influence Kinnison had on him. He broke new ground for Hicks to then go on to blow our minds. Every comedian has their influences and people that helped shape their style. As someone said, Eddie gives big props to Pryer, but took it to another level. For those few years anyway. Leary definitely took a bit too much from Hicks. On a side note, I just saw Chappelle in Brisbane on Thursday night. Fucking awesome. I didn't think I'd ever get to witness that genius.
  19. I had the best time last night. To be there with my 7yr old son, my dad and my uncle, and 95000 other reds was something I'll never forget. I couldn't believe I was watching Stevie in the flesh. And wasn't some of his play in the first half just next level stuff. I hope all of you fans that get to watch him regularly, or occasionally, realise how lucky you are. I'm sure you do of course. And his goal, we all lost it when it hit the back of the net. I kept thinking, imagine if that was a mid season game that mattered... with everyone's fitness and commitment at their peak. What a site to behold that would be. Anyway. It was great walking to the ground with a sea of red all around us. Singing songs and just enjoying a moment that may not happen again. All the while hoping it wont be the last.
  20. Ticketek Australia Tickets available to the training session on the Tuesday evening. Too bad we're not coming down tomorrow night...
  21. I was going to post something similar a couple of days ago. As I'm a recent paid member, mainly due to the garbage posters.
