  1. A good recommendation is the beers made by The Hop Studio in York. They have 4 varieties, Pilsner, XC, Gold and Blonde. Well worth hunting down and trying.
  2. What about going for Micah Richards instead as a centre half? Surely a better alternative than Williams.
  3. I used to love Coal Chamber, first saw them at the Buckley Tivoli, but their second album killed them off as it was shite.
  4. Was it really that long ago? Bloody hell, that's incredible. I remember walking out and we bumped into Kerry King. What an obnoxious twat he was. I'd heard the Bill issue was because they'd all agreed on a straight split, 25% each, and Sharon has demanded more for Ozzy. Its a real shame, as they are one of the greatest bands of all time, and to end up like this is very sad. I still think that £64 for a ticket is ridiculous as well.
  5. Hence why I'm not going. I saw them back in 2000, 2001 possibly, when they headlined Ozzfest at Milton Keynes, and they were OK, nothing special. My mates got pre sale tickets last night, cost then £64 each, so a bit pricey. Plus, its the same week as Lawnmower Deth and Xentrix in Nottingham, so that takes priority for me.
  6. Works fridges and microwaves....and the twats that having caused such damage and spillages, don't bother to own up or clean up the mess.
  7. Where do people see Coates in all this? I'd really like to see him being given an extended run in the team to see if he has the potential. I know that when he's played he's been prone to the odd mistake or two, but haven's all CB's, but he has all the qualities to be a really good centre half.
  8. Forgot to put another one in Rage Against The Machine supported by Tool at The Manchester Ritz in 1993. Absolutely stunning night, spoilt by some nutter jumping off the balcony into the pit......he broke his leg!!!!
  9. Meshuggah are an excellent band and very underrated in my opinion. Has anyone checked out the new Ghost album yet? Very, very odd, more prog stuff, with bits of pop thrown in. I saw them a few weeks ago in Birmingham and they were excellent. Other good bands to check out are Hark Undersmile Serpent Venom
  10. I was so knackered after the Slayer pit that I couldn't go down the front for Metallica. Fishbone played The Star & Garter in Manchester last year, which holds about 100 people, but I couldn't go, I was gutted. I wonder if Rocky still wear the same hat with "P" on it
  11. So many to recall....... Clash of the Titans (Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, Suicidal Tendencies) - 1990 NEC Metallica - NEC 1991 Sepultura/Sacred Reich - International 2 1990, I think Slayer in the tent at Download, most mental pit I've ever been in. Fishbone London Astoria 1992 Carcass Damnation Festival 2008 Big 4, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax at Sonisphere 2011 Rammstein NEC 2012 Orange Goblin at a shitty pub in Stockport, 2008 or 9 Daft Punk Manchester Academy, around the world tour Beastie Boys Brixton Academy 1995 I'm sure I've missed a few out as well.....damn hard to single out just one these days
  12. Cheers for that information. It would be a shame if players missed out because they played in the French league. I remember hearing the "fitness" comment in one of the games today, one of the commentators said that the French league wasn't as competitive as the premiership, which I find quite strange.
  13. I'll list a few now......... Disinterested Handjob Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats Preschool Tea Party Massacre The Rampton Release Date The Rugged Spud
  14. It was a cracking performance, from a player that I really like, but I don't think he'll be the Lions captain, as he isn't guaranteed a starting place yet, and I stress the word yet. The HC Final is in May, with the squad being announced end of April. I still think he'll push the test team close, and would be an excellent partner for AWJ, who I think will be captain.
  15. Any reason why? Isn't Gatland using a similar policy with the Lions? Something to do with French league going through to July isn't it? Saw a tweet earlier from the rugby lady on BBC, saying that 29 places on Lions tour are now sorted.

I never understood the hype surrounding them. Kerrang and Download Festival loved them as they appealed to their teeny bopper market.
  17. Cheers for that. I've always preferred the trickier winger, ie Shane Williams, rather than a big strong winger, ie North or Cuthbert.
  18. I agree to a certain extent about that centre partnership, but I don't feel that Roberts has had that good a season to justify him starting at 12. He's a powerful runner and tackler but I think that teams have sussed him out now and he doesn't seem to do anything new. Then again, is their a better pairing at 12 and 13 than those two? What I've seen of Zebo, albeit very little, I like his style of play, what's he like defensively? Lydiate made a 40 minute cameo on Friday night and it set to start on Saturday. If he proves his fitness, he'll be on that plane.
  19. That's the main issue with giving the captaincy to someone before the tour, as it already confirms them as a starter for the tests, barring injury of course.
  20. That should be the same with every player, but certain coaches have always had their favourite players. Who would you have as captain?
  21. I agree with you, but I'm just going with the fact that Gatland likes a physical scrum half and he knows Phillips well. I'd be shocked if he isn't the scrum half for the test team.
