  1. Rafa needed a break after leaving Liverpool. The Liverpool job just isn't good for your health.
  2. Rafa=Liverpool legend. Give him the money and he would do well here. Simple.
  3. The lad more than deserves his chance to shine tomorrow against West Ham, doesn't he? Poulsen, move aside and let this young man show you what it's all about. I'm 99% sure that Roy will pick Poulsen, but that's not stopping me from backing Jay's cause. ----------------Spearing--------------- ---Maxi----------Meireles-------Babel-- ---------------Kuyt-------------------- ---------------------Torres------------ If we don't beat West Ham, we really are shite.
  4. Tyson was a good fighter with the ability to be a great fighter. As far as I am concerned he was his own worst enemy. As for his constant denial of the rape allegations? Mike's a pretty good actor ;) Just watch the hangover and you will see he can make himself pretty believable when he needs to. He knocked woman about, lets face it. Bottom line is, he almost certainly raped that woman. I mean come on, look at the lawyers Tyson could get! In his early years, Mike was an animal. If he could have stayed on the straight and narrow there is no doubt in my mind that he could have been the greatest. There really wasn't many better that could talk a better fight than Iron Mike. What a massive shame that he went and spoiled it all.
  5. Looks like you spotted his talent early mate. Well in :)
  6. Carra or that Atletico manager would be my 2 choices.
  7. 1.Diao 2.Biscan 3.Traore 4.Nunez 5.Dundee
  8. 1. Pele 2. Maradona 3. Zidane 4. Cruyff 5. Beckenbauer
  9. Yet again the big greek made Kevin Davies look like a pussycat. His solid displays have been integral to us getting a few decent results of late. Him and Skrtel seemed to have formed a good defensive partnership and long may the good form continue. Is he just a poor man's Hyypia (which is no bad thing) or is he more than that?
  10. Of course we can afford it. Don't the new owners want to get some money? Players like Suarez and Hazard would earn lots of revenue on and off the pitch. Lots of people go to Liverpool to see quality players and thats what those two are. Shirt sales will also go up. They bought us on the cheap and they're hardly going to say we have got x and y to spend. They will have money.
  11. Keep up the Dalglish songs for next game boys...if Roy's still here that is. It's been fucking hurrendous stuff all season from this team. Roy has always set out his team playing in a disorganised and unthoughful manner. It's reached the point now where he should do the honourable thing and step down. A nice guy? Yes. A good enough manager for Liverpool Fc? No. All this "Fergie is a friend" and the "protesting is a distraction" bullshit doesn't go down well with us pal. Why say it? Those comments were just some of the many nails that have been put in your coffin. The last nail, for me, was hammered in today. Kenny was the man who should have been given this job in July, not Mr.Hodgson. So thanks for your efforts Roy, but you have to be the best of the best to manage Liverpool Fc and you just aint in that bracket.
  12. Why these forums were so anti Rafa, I will never understand. The guy did a very good job here. He had to work with next to no money under the yanks guys....give him some credit.
  13. The Spanish tactician has recently spoken to independent.ie, saying that he wouldn't ever rule out a return to Anfield. Liverpool is a part of him, that is for sure. "I am monitoring carefully everything that's going on there. I have a lot of friends there and I received a 'Justice' scarf from the Hillsborough families group that is in my office at home. Again out of respect I think it is important that I talk a little bit about the past but especially about the future. For me, at this moment, that is Inter Milan. I keep my house there, we are based in Liverpool and in the future we will be there again." Right now, he thinks about Inter and the challenges but he knows more than most what football can bring and how he might return. "You never know, football is football. It could be in five years' time, ten years' time, two years' time. We have two years of a contract here, we are really pleased here, the people are very nice, the fans are very similar to Liverpool fans, with passion, so everything is going well." But Liverpool is home? "Yeah-it's the only house we have. Liverpool is my home and I will come back." Benitez's reign at Anfield was marred by the pace at which people at the top did things. It could have been so different for Rafa if he ended up with Vidic, Alves and Simao instead of players such as Skrtel, Arbeloa and Pennant. He had to compromise with 2nd rate players, when he shouldn't have had to. The players I mentioned were just a few examples of how it could have been so different. Of the players I mentioned, not a single one would have broken the bank when we were close to getting them by any means. A lack of money and speed cost Rafa, not "defensive" tactics. Defensive tactics is playing Meireles on the right wing boys. If he could have got those targets that he so desperately wanted, I seriously have no doubts we would have won that elusive league title with Rafa. Benitez had to put a lot of faith in to people like Macia, because the funds just weren't there. When he did have the money, he usually spent it very wisely. Some of you may say, "but what about Alberto and Keane"? My reply is this, Aquilani was in reality £6million and was meant to be joined by Jovetic - which unfortunately never happened - and Keane was just a massive suprise. Everyone thought he would do it for us. I hope the man does well at Inter. But referring to the question in the title; yes I would have him back. His managerial reign here was so underrated by many, but he leaves a legend and will forever be appluaded by me and many others. He understood the city, the fans and most importantly stuck up for our club to the end. His leaving gift of 96000 to the Hillsborough fund was a great example of what a great man he is. But that's just what great men do.
  14. Relegation? Well at least I might get put up a few places on the waiting list!
  15. Stop fucking slating him. It's a learning curve for the manager - he isn't going to make drastic improvements straight away. Yes, so far we haven't seen the best from this team. But lets be honest with ourselves, we are a team that finished 7th last season(which still hurts me to say) and we have had a very hard start. We were extremely close to beating Arsenal on the first day which could have helped us a lot. As for last night. The only thing I would have done differently from Roy was to put Torres and Gerrard on the bench. You can't blame him for the shabby performance that the likes of Babel put in. It was up to those players who he fielded to perform and they most certainly didn't. So lets get behind Roy - which I know most of you have been doing and will continue to do - because ranting and raving about every little thing he MIGHT possibly be doing wrong isn't going to help anyone. I'm not a Roy apologist, but I am always one to get behind a bloke who is doing his best for the club. If your gonna moan about him, wait 2 months at least! For now, get behind the team and lets get 3 wins on the bounce. They need us more than you can imagine now. YNWA
  16. Pepe will hopefully be permanent captain one day and I have no worries about that at all.
