I have always thought that they are not serious re selling, if they were, Kenny would have been installed on a temp basis by now. We are the only sports team they have owned who has world wide appeal and they are loathed to let us go. Purslow mentioned in the SOS minutes that there was a 3-4 yr financing deal on the table if we paid the debt doen by £100m. There was no suggestion that this had to be new money. Purslow was tasked with finding this, the Rhone Group came and went but Purslow failed to find investment. I beleive they are desperate to hang onto us and that player sales is their next option. I think they believe that RBS have not got the balls to call it in and that the financial markets will recover in the future, at which point they will get more money for us. They dont care whether we are successful or have good players. I know the World Cup ( that England are bidding for ) is 8 years away, but the decision is this December ( i think ) Imagine the value of football assets if England are even chosen to host a World Cup, never mind that the value will rocket "when football comes home"

Purslow mentioned to SOS some time ago that we HAD to pay down the debt and that he had been tasked with looking for investment, he failed to do that so there is only 1 other way they can find the £100m the banks want. Critics may point to the fact that they have said they are going to sell since Purslow mentioned the above, however I dont think they are seriously trying to sell ( hence the silly price tag ) They know that if a new stadium is built, the club will be worth a lot more, so i feel they are trying to ride the storm until they can get it built and sell on for a lot more. ( They feel it is easier to do this by staying 000's of miles away, and keeping his gob shut (Gillett )) They now operate behind the sheild of Purslow & Broughton. They dont care if we have good players whilst this is happening, they know we have a large core support, who although will get pissed off, will not stop going to the match ( and allegedly a large waiting list ) In any other industy, if the quality of your usual "brand " is not what it used to be, you switch brands, but not football. They are happy to amble along with no stars or even profit in the knowledge that in the future ( when a stadium is also in the mix ) they will hit the big time. Just my opinion

Whilst they can see money in it they will hang on. They don't care whether we have good players or not. If we were to be sold anytime soon they would have either stuck with Rafa ( let new owners sack him and pay him off) or they would have appointed a temp manager

Whilst I hope I'm wrong. There is nothing to suggest we are being sold, there are no buyers and the fact that they seem to be looking for a permanent appointment as Manager would suggest that they are going nowhere
