OK hands up all you snooker fans who last night stood up shouting at the TV screen for Peter" Paint dry" Ebdon to make a bog standard shot without having to do 3 rounds of the table surveying all angles/possibilities - just to cock it up completely. I mean he is like a slower version of Cliff Thorburn ! How in god's name he has managed to stay in the top 16 for so long playing this type of mind numbingly boring snooker is a mystery to me. Even the commentators(Willy Thorne & John Virgo) seemed to be finding it difficult to not adversly comment on this style(?) of play that he attempts - and its not as if its only recently come to light - who could forget his go slow game against Ronnie O'Sullivan a fair few years back. All I can say is a big thank you to Graham Dott for doing the rest of the Snooker fraternity a great service in knocking him out of the top 16 and giving somebody worthy a chance to show how snooker should be played.
