  1. Macca on twitter claiming "ince is done"
  2. DANIEL STURRIDGE is set to undergo a medical tomorrow as he prepares to make a £12million move to Liverpool FC. The Reds are ready to complete the deal with Chelsea after a dispute with the striker's representatives was resolved. It emerged earlier this week that a fee had been agreed with the Londoners for the 23-year-old frontman but there was a problem over the cash demands of his agent. Player Stats — Daniel Sturridge GeneralAttackDefenceDistributionDiscipline Games Played 7 Minutes Played 161 Starts 1 Interceptions 3 Substitution On 6 Substitution Off 0 Duels Won 42.1%42.1% Aerial duels won 0%0% LFC boss Brendan Rodgers was always confident the issues would be sorted out but warned the club wouldn't be held to ransom. He was prepared to walk away from the deal and had lined up Paris Saint Germain striker Kevin Gameiro as an alternative option. However, an agreement has now been reached and Sturridge is expected on Merseyside on Sunday to have his medical. It's unlikely there will be any official confirmation of Sturridge's move to Anfield until after the transfer window opens on January 1. Sturridge, who has four England caps, has scored 24 goals in 49 starts and 47 substitute appearances since his arrival from Manchester City in the summer of 2009. He enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bolton in the 2010/11 season when he netted eight times in 12 games. 3. According to Ben Smith from BBC on twitter, Sterling to sign in next few days
  4. By the looks of things Sterling seems to have removed his twitter account. Seems strange considering he is on it all the time.
  5. In the build up to most games you can see training pictures on Getty images. Ha a look this morning and can't see Agger on any image which is worrying. In hoping he just has a knock and isn't available but starting the think a move is on the cards. Anyone heard if he is out with the squad?
  6. I'm willing to get behind the guy as it's obvious he is their 'main man'. So we are powerless whether we feel he os the right guy for the job or not. Problem is the way this whole thing has been handled. Why is that pie eater announcing news on behalf of Lfc? Why are pictures being leaked of Martinez with Henry walking down a fuckin road looking like something off a verve video. Just all very amateur'ish. This whole saga has been a mess from the days up to KK being given the boot. With the whole of the press knowing it was coming. I actually feel sorry for Martinez now. The pressure of the job was huge before all of this, now it's going to be unbearable. Can u imagine if we get really tough fixtures to kick the season off, and we lose a few on the bounce? It's going to be a nightmare for him, the club, and especially the owners as the marches will start again and the press will love it.
  7. Jst seen this from whelan again!!! What a media whore this guy is..... Roberto Martinez in Liverpool talks in Miami - Whelan By Graham Chase BBC Sport Wigan owner Dave Whelan says Roberto Martinez is meeting with Liverpool's owners in Miami. Whelan gave Martinez permission to speak to the Reds last week and has given his manager a deadline of 5 June to resolve his future. "Roberto is in Miami today and you can only assume what he's gone there for [to talk to the Liverpool owners]," Whelan told BBC Sport. "He is honest and up front and I expect to hear from him in the next 48 hours."
  8. Just had a text off a mate who normally tells the truth. He tells me he has the shits, big time, and he's in work, what a nightmare.
  9. Seeing Maxi go yesterday gave me a thought. Over the last few seasons we've seen some real enigmatic players leave such as Garcia, Benayoun, and now Maxi. All of them had their bad moments, but will mostly be remembered for doing the things others cannot. The question is, who is going to replace Maxi? Difficult to predict obviously, but these players are either on free's or cost around 5m it seems. Who do you think is available, who will be a realistic target, and who would you like?
  10. No armband for Torres today. Seems to have forgotten quickly enough
  11. Be interesting to see what team we would select versus KK's selection. Personally I'd go for; Jones Johnson Carragher - purely for experience over Coates. Skrtel Agger Gerrard Shelvey Henderson Spearing Bellamy Suarez The way I see it we need to dominate the middle of the park, especially as they'll no doubt play 5 in the centre with Cahill pushing forward when possible. The 5 in the middle will allow gerrard, henderson and shelvey to push on and join Susrez when they can. This selection also allows 3 decent subs out of kuyt, downing, maxi and Carroll. However, I think we'll see the following line up. Jones Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique Kuyt Gerrard Spearing Downing Suarez Carroll What are your thoughts and team predictions?
  12. Shame sterling isn't in the squad. Don't see the pointing having Aurelio and maxi on the bench when it's clear they have no future at the club
