  1. This peace talk thing is bollocks IMO. Instead, LFC are pushing the idea that opposition fans and their clubs should be stopped from abusing Suarez when he returns - and in particular the incendiary nature of his 1st away game which happens to be at Old Trafford. We are highlighting security and protection of our player, it's got fuck all to do with peace and goodwill between the clubs that went out the winddow once Ferguson walked in the door and will remain so until the horrible cretin fucks off
  2. We played our best football last year with Kuyt up front with Suarez and their partnership is way better than Luis/Carroll. I suppose if we could get £8-10m for Dirk to contribute towards a top striker that makes sense given his age but he is a very useful, dependable utility player and I would rather keep him and sell Carroll assuming his value hasn't dropped below £15-20m.
  3. I've figured out why we have embarked on this buy-English policy. As we don't have any Directors on the FA board we have decided to hoover up all the England players to come on the market so we can then hold the FA to ransom over releasing them. Kelly, Johnson, Gerrard, Henderson, Downing, Carroll, Flanagan, Robinson, Coady, Wisdom, Sterling, Shelvey are all in England squads at various age levels. Next up will be Cahill, Walcott & Bent. Maybe throw in Baines & Rodwell and that should do it. The FA and all them tosspot journos will be all over us then, they'll fuckin love us. We will have a shit team mind.
  4. Nice try mate. I think it is worth sending in replies, mostly it's water off a duck's ass but some of these journos have surprisingly thin skins and like to believe that their always in the right.
  5. There's only 15% in the poll who voted to keep him
  6. OK listen up all you facebook/twitter Suarez-haters, we can do this the easy way and you retract your asinine comments or we can do it the hard way....(putting on gloves)
  7. On 5 live this morning, the stupid cow of a presenter even managed to bring the Suarez case into a debate on the Stephen Lawrence trial basically saying that racism is still alive and well. That's why we should have taken this further, it's open house on Suarez is the biggest racist in the country and Liverpool are condoning his behaviour. Every pr*ck with a fucking facebook or twitter account has taken this stand the horrible bastards and I can't fist fuck them all
  8. I tried sending the following to Oliver Holt today but guess what, it hasn't been printed : Olly, In what parallel universe does it advance the cause of anti-racism to brand a person as "RACIST" in bold headlines across your back page when he has merely used a word that is so common in his own language that his wife uses it to refer to him? Why not use your powers of investigative journalism to look into the report and instead of towing the PC line to actually see the real story here - that the hearing was a sham to use an innocent abroad as part of the FA's political games with FIFA and Blatter. The report is a disgrace frankly, there are more holes in it than a Swiss Cheese and once you have ended this little crusade against Suarez & Liverpool perhaps you would care to examine a process where the FA act as judge, jury &, prosecutor with no right of appeal against the judgement itself (only the sentence) and then tell us all that this is fair. Xenophobia is as dangerous as racism, yet that is what has happened here - Suarez was the ideal fall guy, sacrificed by the FA on the altar of their stand against racism and all things Blatter. Let's see what you & the Mirror have to say about John Terry shall we? At least he has the comfort of knowing that he will receive a fair trial with the right of appeal rather than the laughingly contrived "balance of probabilities" that was used as the test to take one man's word against another in the Suarez case.
  9. Exactly. Some people (or maybe just one person who bangs on about it in every fucking post) are missing the point here; the FA made up their mind to find him guilty from the outset, the club's statement says as much and the report bears this out. It's a fine balance and if we had adopted an aggressive approach by a forensic line-by-line dissemination of the FA's case and badgered Evra in cross-examination, the Commission could just as easily have found this to be unnecessarily antagonistic and evasive, seeking to exploit technicalities blah blah and therefore less reliable than the case for Evra which was open and honest etc etc. We chose to be non-confrontational although even that is speculation because we haven't seen transcripts of all the evidence, just the bits that the Commission cherry picked to support their verdict. Using all this as a stick to beat Ayre, Comolli, even Kenny ffs is unfair and a waste of time - it's the FA who have shafted us and Luis.
  10. That's true but I was at the game mate and Evra was going potty at the ref at kick-off and the important point here is that he started the game in a red mist and kept at it the whole 90 mins. That had fuck all to do with Suarez and racism. This must have been pointed out in our evidence but although the Commission accept that he was angry at the start they don't take this as a reason for his behaviour later on. Instead they take the view that his anger at the corner was directly related to the abuse he was receiving from Suarez when all of us who were there could see he was at it the whole game with spats at several other players, the crowd and the ref.
  11. Yeah that's probably true but I think we took the view that we would not be over-confrontational and ended up being too nice. That may also explain why our statement was so strongly worded when we found that Luis had been found guilty. We seem to have taken the view that a thorough explanation of the circumstances would receive a fair hearing. That proved to be a naive decision which in hindsight was wrong but we may have been thinking that we should not overplay our hand and risk antagonising the FA and the Commission by adopting a forensic line-by-line rebuttal that could appear to be shifty. In other words we have been honest and have been shafted as a result. That may not happen next time, judging by our statement we will come out all guns blazing. I also believe that there are discussions going on now between the club and the FA to defuse the situation. It would be strange if that isn't happening. It might be that there is an "understanding" reached and we appeal, the ban is reduced and more play is made of the mitigating circumstances and the cultural misunderstandings. There is a clear message given that Suarez was not intentionally racist and in return we accept the decision and move on. It was interesting to hear the journos in Sunday Supplement today - all of them agreed with the FA and urged the club to accept the findings but there was a conciliatory attitude from them all, saying what a great player Suarez is and their would be no long term damage to the player or the club. Briefed maybe?
  12. I've conducted my own investigation both from the actual evidence in the Commission report and from watching the videos again. I was also at the game and recall some of the incidents. My findings are as follows : Evra was an angry guy from the start of the game, because of the mix-up over the coin toss. He was picking fights with different players including going spare at Downing on one occasion when Stuart took a dive. He was winding up the crowd and also had flare-ups with Kuyt & Agger where words were spoken and there was pushing & shoving. He was also playing sh*t and Suarez clearly had the beating of him. Then comes the incident where Luis fouls him right in front of the Kop. It's not a bad foul in fact there is hardly any contact but Evra goes to ground and jars his knee. He makes a right meal of it, the crowd are giving him all sorts of abuse for time-wasting and Kuyt accuses him of diving, telling him to get the fuck up. He resumes play but his demeanor continues to suggest he is in a rage for reasons other than racism. At the corner a few minutes later, he is marking Suarez and the body language strongly suggests that Suarez's version is more credible. Evra is clearly on the wind-up, he is the aggressor both in his actions chasing Suarez and his facial expressions. It's so obvious that Kuyt comes over to get between them because he thinks Evra is having a pop at Luis. Suarez is opening his arms in a "what's your problem" way and his actions are defensive. Words are spoken but neither player is overtly affected and none of the others in a crowded goalmouth show any reaction. The idea that Luis is calling him blackie blackie blackie at this point is risible to be honest, there would have been a much stronger reaction. The "pinching" episode is nothing, it's so slight and to infer that he is pointing out the colour of his skin is ludicrous. Again, it looks to be more of a "calm down" gesture rather than anything more insidious. The play moves away from the area and they continue the argument until the ref calls them over. Evra is still in a fury while Suarez is trying to play it down. The patting of the head was somehow construed as hostile by the Commission but it is part wind-up part let's get on with the game and Luis tries to shake his hand to end the argument but Evra shoves him away. That's when Evra says "Don't touch me you South American" which doesn't ring true - it's probably an insulting remark which prompts Luis to say "why, black?" which to Suarez in his own language is pretty mild, inconsequential. Evra interpretes this as being called a nigger and he kicks off again. The ref books him and he carries on the rest of the game in the way he started it, having a go at Kuyt and the crowd. After the match someone asks him what he was so angry about and he rants on about being called a nigger, with degrees of exageration. This causes Ferguson to bring it to the ref's attention and Liverpool are asked for their version. Commoli & Kuyt both speak to Luis and say he has been accused of calling him a nigger, Suarez denies this and explains he called him "negro" not nigger. This is passed on to the ref and our people think that's the end of it, it's a misunderstanding. Evra refuses to back down, the press get on their high horse and the FA intervene just at the point where Blatter makes his faux-pas and Terry is in the dock for a more blatant example of racism. The FA decide to make an example of Suarez for political reasons and carry out a stitch-up which is manna from heaven to the media pack. That's it basically.
  13. Not according to Kuyt you fanny. You are doing the same as the press - using the findings of the Commission as FACT when in reality they have taken Evra's word at face value in virtually every respect despite there being no corroborative evidence eg Marriner did not hear Evra complaining to the ref about being called a fucking black and Kuyt says he is 100% sure that what he actually said was "you are only booking me because I'm black".
  14. According to a villa itk we are buying Darren bent and loaning AC to them
  15. It's too late anyway, the fucking areshole press have made their minds up in the same way they always do after any miscarriage of justice and Suarez is tainted now. It's disgusting, why the fuck did they ever allow such a soft case to end in this way? If it was a blatant case of racism on the pitch then fair enough everyone get behind the authorities and we can all applaud their action to stamp it out. But this? It's a witch hunt pure and simple, they have contrived a guilty verdict for political reasons to show how tough they are. Natural justice? Bollocks to it they are saying. We are really really up against it now. The media will crucify us for backing Luis and if we thought we were getting the shit end of every refereeing decision then just wiat now once the Ferguson Association send out their dictats to the refs to punish us for our hugely critical stance. Kenny will have to face all sorts of shit on our behalf but thank fuck he is the one, I can't imagine how different our response would have been if it was Hodgson in charge, crapping himself at losing his England chance. What a fuckin rollercoaster it is being a Liverpool fan, we seem to be permanently fighting battles looks like the war is back on but with a new enemy.
  16. Looks like you may be right there Jordan Ibe signs for Liverpool from Wycombe | Mail Online
  17. When will they announce the away match selling details? It's not even posted up on the website as forthcoming but it's the 1st leg ffs
  18. I think we are being punished for putting up a robust defence of Suarez on the racism case. The FA are pissed off with us because they wanted to deal with him as an example of how PC they are so they can take the moral high ground on combating racism but we have been so up front in our support of the lad that it's become an us and them thing. They are now warning us off by attacking us on other fronts Cunts
  19. What about the away game - the 1st leg? When will the selling arrangements for that get published, that's the game I'm desperate for after going to Stoke & Chelsea
  20. 100% agree with this. We are playing good football and I can only think of 2 games all season where we haven't dominated and deserved to win (Sunderland rightly earned their point and Spurs were far superior even if the ref had not given them a helping hand). If we had a Fowler in this team we would be top of the league. If Commoli can find one and we put Carroll back on the bench where he belongs until he sorts his shit out then we can push on. Until then we need Gerrard back, it would be a massive lift for the whole club to have him fit & firing come the New Year.
  21. There's definitely something going on with referees. That guy was out to stiff us last night. The same in the Spurs game, which came directly after Kenny had his first outburst at referees after being mugged against Stoke. I wonder if Riley is involved in this, having a quick word with his men before a game. Spurs are enjoying a right good run with favourable decisions at the moment. Wouldn't shock me in the least if there's a few bent refs taking bungs, in fact with all the money swilling around the game and all the dodgy characters running clubs it would be a miracle if it was squeaky clean.
  22. Haha Tom R has turned this round, awesome rant has won the argument fair play mate
  23. I'm just finishing rehab, 6 months after my 2nd cruciate operation. The 1st was a football injury that ended my (crap) career 15 years ago when they cut me open and inserted a carbon fibre thread. I had to have 2 ops because of the scar tissue that formed around the knee while I was in plaster for 3 or 4 months. This time it was so much easier - the operation was non-intrusive keyhole with just a couple of nicks and so no real trauma, just swelling. The surgeon "harvested" a few threads from my hamstring so it's using organic not man-made fibres and has a better chance of avoiding rejection by the body. Physio started immediately so there was little muscle wastage and there is a set pattern of exercises that build up the strength around both the knee and the hamstring. These are stepped up during the programme and an athlete will be doing 4-5 hours of intensive physio (even I was doing an hour or so every morning after the couple of weeks). I'm seeing the consultant for the last time next week and I'm really happy about the results. He has told me that the knee is stronger now than before and range of movement is 95-99%. The younger you are, the better the flexibility so a 24 year old Lucas can expect to be as close to full recovery as you can get and his muscular tone in the legs will be stronger than before - which is one of the real problems in any rehab. It's fuckin hard work and hurts like hell going through the exercises to retrain the hamstring to become part of the knee but it's a scientific process which is pretty run-of-the-mill nowadays so Lucas with all the drive & commitment he has shown during his career should be fine. The success rates are now very high. Oh and Jay Spearing will step up now I'm sure. I think it's Carroll who may suffer though because until Gerrard is back fully fit & firing, the chances are that we will continue with the 3 man centre midfield meaning Suarez plays up front on his own.
  24. Kenny will offer Joe Cole in part-ex, we value him at 20m euros = job done. I wish
  25. For those with any sort of a memory, back in 2001 we seemed to manage OK with winning the League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Cup and then finished it off with qualification for the Champions League as well. The point being that momentum is hugely important, keep winning as a team and a club and it breeds the mentality to lift trophies and to succeed. Beat Chelsea and we are in the semis and we have a real chance of doing what we do best - collecting winners medals. Lose and we accept 2nd best
