  1. Don't fucking drag me into it.
  2. Jesus fucking Christ, they're in this post, all 6 of them. You've already quoted the cunting thing once-
  3. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/jul/15/chris-grayling-fails-to-become-intelligence-and-security-chair Bwahahaha. The useless prick.
  4. Yeah, just messing. I liked Foakes, didn't get why he was dropped. Edit- ah, it was because that blert Bairstow came back.
  5. She'll be a perfect replacement for Johnson. This is terrifying-
  6. This is reminiscent of the conversation I just had in my head about my line manager.
  7. Craven wankers. The'll have been told to boost his pre-scripted line no doubt.
  8. Well the BBC will certainly show it out of context without Starmer's question, so yeah they will.
  9. I don't think it's trending for a 'good' reason for Johnson-
  10. The only bright spot is that it's shown what a con austerity was, the money for crises can be found if needed. That's going to be obscured now though as they terrify us with debt again- 'nation's credit card', 'robbing future generations', all that bullshit they spouted from 2010 onwards to justify the ideological vandalism they wanted to indulge in.
  11. Samuels was a cheerleader for Abramovich when he started throwing his money around. Apparently it's justified because it's what it takes to compete with established clubs. That the established clubs took decades to get where they are doesn't seem to matter. It's the kind of disruptive capitalism that tech firms use but for football clubs. Get massively wealthy backers that are prepared to spend big and sustain losses for years in the hope of a big payday- venture capitalists in the case of tech firms, oil states or multi-billionaires for football clubs. Use the wealth to force established players to their knees as they can't compete while following the rules and can't break the rules without going bankrupt. If all goes well, you end up as the top dog.
  12. If this is what drugs does to you these days, I'm glad I'm well out of it.
  13. "He's got more briefs than Calvin Klein." Do they think this crap up themselves or spend tax payers' money on SPADs with no humour or wit?
  14. That's why Patel will be an improvement- she's not an alcoholic.
  15. Yeah, it's a big thing in gaming now as well. Some of it is the usual hype, but well designed games- i.e. ones not slathered in bloom, chromatic aberration and motion blurring and barely reaching 30 fps- do look significantly better.
  16. I read the synopsis of that after some posts earlier in the thread- so Rambo retires to a ranch in Arizona or something, and digs a load of booby trapped tunnels, just in case he gets invaded by baddies? That's either amazing foresight, or a ridiculously flimsy plot device to set up the finale.
  17. Another problem is that a lot of series don't seem to have much of a shelf life on iPlayer. Unless you catch them fairly close to the original broadcast date, they're unavailable. C4 is much better in this regard, although obviously you have to wade through ads on their All 4 service. I still download stuff from time to time just for the convenience.
  18. I think it's just a suggestion at the moment, but if the infection rate in England stays much higher than it is here then they probably would go ahead. It makes sense, you can't go in to Wales and ignore any additional restrictions there, and visitors from any one country to another would have to follow the local laws and guidance- cf your post here- Johnson's just grandstanding as usual.
  19. Just 3 new infections in Scotland yesterday, and no deaths now for 6 days running.
  20. Yeah sorry, I wasn't having a go at you, I was agreeing.
