    Honestly, anyone who thinks FSG upped the bid for Suarez cause Torres threw his toys out of the pram is mad. And the good thing about this? As much as I hate to sound bitter, of the top clubs he could have gone to chelsea are 4th on my list of worries. Yeah, they might win the CL in the way we might have won it 2005 but I can't see them winning the league again now before Torres retires.

    The best period of the match was in the first half when Gerrard wasn't the focal point and the ball was being moved around in an egalitarian fashion. As soon we panicked and everything started going through him, heads dropped one by one.

    Was at the game last night. He showed flashes of talent but I was much more impressed with Eccleston. Pacheco is very small, very slight and was easily knocked off his stride by a pretty dreadful Partick Thistle defence. The goal was a good delivery from a freekick, and that was pretty much it for chances. Not that you can tell much from one game of course.
