Once the Mancs didn’t terminate his contract they were just kicking the can down the road to wait and bring him back. The big summer of rebuild has turned into a shit show. talk about sucking the optimism out of the season before it gets going. Newcastle will absolutely batter us all over the shop in a couple of weeks.

I've a really bad feeling if we don't get Lavia the club will take a "chance" and not sign anyone make excuses about no value or no one available and look to do something in January and rely on Klopp to do some magic. So pretty much how they've been operating since we won the league.

Chelsea are offering more wages over a longer contract term - they are blowing us out of the water. If they agree a fee with Southampton we can forget about Lavia as well. Its been a shambles since Fabino and Henderson left trying to low ball Southampton for weeks when we had the money and could have gotten the deal over the line.

I'm concerned about the Chelsea owner Boehly in this. I think he'd love to screw us over if possible and the big advantage he has is he's completely reckless with overspending on players and offering really long contracts and if he decides to fuck us over with Lavia we wont be able to do anything about it. As for FFP the league or Uefa stopping them overspending absolutely no chance in that happening.

Agree with that but after they got level - they were the better side and controlled the game & we struggled to create much & looked wide open as well. really not sure what to make of the game - a new No.6 is obviously needed but that won’t solve some of the issues.
