exactly if you asked either of them would they take him they'd probably crack a rib laughing. To think I was laughing at arsenal for signing welbeck looks like they got the better player to me. He's not prolific but he does score the odd goal and runs his arse off up front. We have a striker that won't / can't run. Wont / can't hold the ball up and seemingly can't score even the most basic of chances. Worst signing we've made probably since carroll.

His style of play certainly suits us more than the immobile, useless waste of space mario. For that reason alone I'm in.

as is the case with these Balotelli "Stories" they never seem to involve scoring goals getting assists or playing well. This was one of the fears I had when he signed there would be more talk about his off the field antics rather than what he does on it.

theres no can or allen to pick from so there's not much choice really. I agree he shouldn't play but until we have better options available fit he will.

What worries me about this match is they seem good at scoring from set pieces and we are so bad in defence we'll concede. It's down to how much game time Sturridge gets and try to out score them.

Whats with the Downing comparison? When Downing got tackled he hid and didn't want to know would just play the match out playing simple passes and not shooting (A bit like Markovic) Lallana got upended by Barry in the first 2 minutes and still performed to a very good level and was showing for the ball and committing players all afternoon. Downing was a shithouse so far Lallana has shown he's not and is improving game by game.

He looks terrified to try anything. Won't take players on just makes a simple backwards pass most times. Doesn't show much for the ball & most times he seems to have a chance to shoot won't take it. Touch of the downings about this kid. On the plus side he's very young and with some confidence he'll hopefully improve. At this very moment though Suso should start ahead of him & should have done today.

Berger used to shoot when he got half a chance. Markovic shit himself twice last night. Took Suso to come on & show him how it's done.

Had a couple of chances to shoot last night which he bottled. (The difference with Suso who shot whenever he got a sniff) Also his first touch was poor that has nothing to do with the position he played in. The lad will need to show a hell of a lot more when he gets an opportunity to shine because after last night and listening to Rodgers praise Suso afterwards i'd say Suso could of put himself ahead of Markovic.

As he's getting his fitness back he's improving. Was good last night and played a big part in making Suso goal.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned started watching Tyrant on episode 5 good so far. Watched the killing recently as well season 1&2 are very good season 3&4 are muck.
